The Taiwanese company Acer is working to update its range of touch tablets. If the intentions of the manufacturer were already known to launch models with the name Acer Iconia Tab A510 and A511, now a promotional video has appeared on YouTube where you can see another model whose name is: Acer Iconia Tab A200.
Acer has not yet officially presented it and it is expected to appear next January in Las Vegas during the CES 2012 technology event that will take place from January 10 to 13. Also, this Acer Iconia Tab A200 should be a more affordable model than its catalog sisters.
Nor have the full technical specifications been shown, although it is already spoken in specialized media that it will have a multi-touch screen with a diagonal size that will reach ten inches. It is also known that Android 4.0 will be the order of the operating system that this team runs, so it will release a new interface and new functions compared to Android Honeycomb 3.2.
On the other hand, this equipment will have a front camera to make video calls and, apparently, it will only have a WiFi connection. It is quite possible that Acer will also present another parallel model that combines WiFi and 3G technology, but its name would be the Acer Iconia Tab 201. It has also been known that it will have a full USB port where you can connect external equipment such as a USB memory, a keyboard to write more comfortably or a camera to directly download the photographs that are taken.
Finally, in terms of its power, the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform is expected to be in charge of the dual-core processor part accompanied by a one GB RAM. Also, it will have a DLNA connection which Acer calls: Acer clear.fi. Its price is not known either but it is estimated to be below 300 euros.
