Filtered a new infantryman for the mobile army with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. It could be called Acer Allegro and among its attractions would be the price. And it is that far from being above the 400 or 500 euros to which we are accustomed to the most cutting-edge launches of the smartphone scene, this animated device would bet on a slightly more accessible cost, standing at 300 euros.
Logically, technically the answer to this price would be balanced, although it is no less interesting for that. As we know from the specialized site WMPowerUser, the Acer Allegro will have a one GHz processor and a 3.6-inch diagonal screen. The connectivity, pointing from said source, include everything you're used to seeing on a smart phone of midrange, including free 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS.
On the other hand, the Acer Allegro would carry a five - megapixel camera, and although it has not been explicitly stated, it seems unlikely not record video in 720p HD quality. The measurements that this phone will have have not transcended, although judging by the only image that has been filtered and the size of the screen, it is almost certain that it will be a device that opts for a compact format, away from phones that want to be tablets.
It is worth mentioning that, as we are reminded in Unwired View, the Acer Allegro could correspond to what we knew until now as the Acer W4, and which was shown in exhibitors of the firm during the past month of June. However, for now there is no confirmation from the Taiwanese manufacturer as to whether the Acer Allegro is indeed the Acer W4, or whether it would be very similar models technically with minor differences.
The availability of the Acer Allegro, as pointed out in WMPowerUser, would be a reality before the Christmas season began, with a view to taking advantage of the possibilities that this period gives in sales in the sector. In any case, as we pointed out, we are waiting for official confirmation from the manufacturer to be able to give security to the possible launch of the Acer Allegro in these conditions.
