Use your mobile to control your home devices
The Xiaomi Mi Note has an infrared sensor, so you can use it to control the devices you have at home. And do not panic, the configuration is very simple and you can do it from the My Remote application.
For example, if you want to use the mobile as a remote control for the TV, just open the app, select TV and then the mark. Once you carry out these steps, it only remains to follow a few instructions. You can customize these settings by adding your TV service provider and specifying other details that will only take a few minutes.
And you can repeat that same process with all the compatible TVs or devices that you have in the house. You can create different rooms to manage them in a more orderly way.
Hide the apps that you don't want anyone to see
Xiaomi has several features dedicated to privacy that you can configure on your Mi Note 10. One of them allows you to hide the icons of certain applications. That is, the applications will be "invisible" to anyone who takes your mobile.
To configure this option you have to go to Settings >> Applications >> Application Lock >> Hidden applications. You will see a list of all the apps installed on your mobile with the option to individually activate this option.
To make the process more secure, it will ask you to set a password or use fingerprint unlock to access these applications. How do you access it? Just pinch anywhere on the screen. By doing this, you will see the option to unlock this hidden space and access your applications.
Create voice notes from any section of the mobile
MIUI offers a simple solution to take notes or jot down to-dos without depending on third-party apps. You can simply open Notes and write down everything you need, add images, videos or create voice notes.
However, this dynamic is not very practical if you have to leave the app or page you are viewing to write, write or record the note. But you can improve it with a little trick in the settings.
You just have to open the Notes application and select the menu of the three dots to go to Settings. As you can see in the image, you will have an option that allows you to activate the task toolbox.
Once you activate this option you will see that a small transparent bar appears on the left side of the screen, which will always be visible anywhere on the mobile. You just have to slide it towards the center of the screen to have the option to create voice tasks, without having to interrupt what you were doing.
Use two independent accounts of the same application
Do you want to have two Facebook or WhatsApp accounts on your mobile and use them independently? You can do this on your Xiaomi Mi Note 10 using the Dual Applications option.
To do this, go to Settings >> Applications >> Dual applications and choose from the list those apps that you want to duplicate on your mobile. If this is the first time you do it, it will tell you that it requires Google services for your dual applications to work. You accept and ready. You will see that a new icon has been created for your app on the Home screen, but with a logo to identify it as a dual application so that you can distinguish between them without problems.
That way, you can use two accounts of the same app independently, without applying the old method of logging in and out. When you want to delete some of these apps you just have to go back to Settings and disable the option.
Download images from Instagram and Facebook without installing anything
Did you know that you can download Instagram and Facebook content from your Mi Note 10 without installing any app? This is possible thanks to the browser pre-installed on the device.
The process is simple, just open the Xiaomi browser and log into your Instagram or Facebook account. Once you scroll through the feed, you will see an option (the blue date) that allows you to download images or videos from these social networks.
All the content you download using this dynamic can be viewed in the Gallery or managed from the web browser.
Lock an app from being closed by accidental touches
If you like multitasking and you have several apps open at the same time, you may have accidentally closed applications that you were still using. It is not an irreversible act but it is tedious to have to return to the point where you left the app. To prevent this from happening, you can apply a little trick: block apps so they don't close with any accidental action.
You just have to click on the Recent button to show all the applications that you have open at the moment. And then click on the app you want to block so that the options you see in the image appear:
Choose the padlock option and you will have your application locked. Even if you accidentally select X to close all apps, it won't close until you unlock it. A simple and practical trick.
Share WIFI password with a QR code
If you have guests in the house who need WiFi or that family member who always forgets the password to connect to the network, you can use this small and practical Xiaomi function. You can share the house WiFi password with a simple QR code.
Just select your WiFi network (tap to share password) from Settings and a tab will automatically open with a QR code. The person who wants to connect to your network just has to scan it and that's it. A dynamic that works perfectly with the main mobile brands.
Set up a second screenshot method
In MIUI it is not difficult to take a screenshot. You just go to the drop-down menu and select the option to take a screenshot in any section of the mobile.
However, this dynamic is not always practical, so ideally you have a second option. To do this, go to Settings >> Additional Settings >> Button shortcut >> Take screenshot.
You will see that you have up to 7 different settings of gestures and options that you can select. You can choose the one that is most comfortable for you and thus have more than one option when taking a screenshot.
Respond to chats from anywhere on your mobile
If you want to respond to the messages that come to your messaging apps and others while still looking at that YouTube video or that website, you can use this little trick: quick responses. It does not refer to quick responses for automatic responses, rather it is a small shortcut to respond from anywhere on the mobile.
This option will open a small chat (either the Telegram chat, WhatsApp, etc.) in the notification area that you can customize to respond without having to leave the application you are using at the moment. To activate them you have to go to Settings >> Special Functions >> Quick Answers. You will see a list with all the apps installed on your device so that you activate this option.
