On March 29, Samsung is scheduled to celebrate its traditional Unpacked in New York. In this framework the company will announce its new flagship phone, the Galaxy S8. The device has witnessed numerous leaks in recent months and we are increasingly clear about its internal characteristics, as well as its possible design. In the last hours the new team has been seen again. Popular leaker Evan Blass has shown a much clearer press image, exposing the entire front of the phone.
With a "I think this is what you were waiting for", Blass has shared on his Twitter account the image where you can see the huge and elongated screen of the Galaxy S8. As the leaks maintain, we do not see the physical start button anywhere. Yes, instead, we find a curved panel with rounded corners and a dedicated fourth button that is possibly for the Bixby virtual assistant. The general appearance is elegant and worked, leaving the sensation of quality mobile, just as we expect.
Fingerprint reader on the back
This wouldn't be the first leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy S8. At the beginning of February another one appeared from the back of the terminal, where some significant changes can be seen. This time we could see a chassis with glass finishes and a significant reduction in the screen frames. This would result in the fingerprint reader going to the rear. Also, as we have already discussed, there will be no physical home button. In any case, it seems that the South Korean is working to incorporate this sensor into the touch panel itself. Something that we will see in future devices.
Around the same time we also saw a picture of the case of the new Galaxy S8. In it you can see more clearly how the fingerprint reader would be placed right next to the camera.
A single main sensor?
At least that's how the leaks show. In these and other captures it can be seen perfectly that this time Samsung would have opted for a single main sensor. Rumors agree that the firm would keep the single camera system of the current Samsung Galaxy S7. At the moment no specific data has been leaked, but the South Korean could improve the camera using larger pixels, an improved stabilization system, in addition to a better aperture. This would result in cleaner, clearer and sharper images. Mind you, as you can see from the images, the lens frame would be less prominent. In fact it could be totally flat and not protrude at all.
Goodbye edge welcome Plus
This year there would be no edge version. The Samsung Galaxy S8 would be accompanied by a larger Plus model. Both devices would have a curved screen on both sides. Unlike other years, both the standard and vitamin versions would have this feature. While the normal Galaxy S8 would mount a panel between 5.7 and 5.8 inches, the S8 Plus could come with a 6.2-inch and a QHD resolution of 2,560i — 1,440 pixels (473ppp).
This high-end phablet would differ from its older brother in some other characteristics. In any case, they would be equal in the important, since both terminals would use the new Qualcomm processor, Snapdragon 835 (built in the 10-nanometer process).
New colors
Other leaked photos also indicate the presence of the device in new colors with models in red or even green. The image above with a Samsung Galaxy S8 in red is made by an anonymous designer. We do not believe that the South Korean has prepared a great range of colors, although it could surprise with some that we have not seen to date.
