My Redmi 7 does not detect the 5 GHz WiFi network
This is not a problem with the phone, but rather a limitation of the Redmi 7 hardware. According to the information shown by Xiaomi, the device only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi networks. This means that we will not be able to connect to the router's 5G network in any way.
Problems with notifications on the Xiaomi Redmi 7
The latest MIUI 10 updates have fixed this bug. Therefore, it is best to update to the latest version available through the relevant option in Settings.
If your mobile has not yet been updated to these versions or lacks MIUI 11, the way to proceed is as follows:
- Access the Settings application and then the Notifications section.
- Click on the Notification Bar option and select the Android option.
- Access the Notch and status bar section and activate the Show icons of incoming notifications options.
If the above has not worked, a temporary solution may be to use the Notch Notifications for MIUI application to configure the notification bar manually.
My Xiaomi Redmi 7 does not recognize the USB
Have you recently connected a pendrive to the phone and the device does not recognize any device? Don't worry, it's not a mobile problem. To use the OTG function we will have to enable the corresponding option in Additional Settings within Settings; specifically in OTG.
If the problem arises from the USB connector itself (the phone does not charge, it does not recognize any USB cable…) it is probably a problem related to the hardware itself. The best practice before requesting a technical review is to turn off the phone and clean the connector with a toothbrush moistened with isopropyl alcohol, or format the system to rule out software problems.
Xiaomi Redmi 7 problems with Bluetooth
It does not connect with another device, it does not recognize it… The origin of the problem can be diverse, as well as its possible solution.
In this article we already saw some of the most effective solutions. The one that we recommend from tuexperto.com is two: unpair the Bluetooth device and re-link it to the system and use the Bluetooth Pair application.
If the problem has to do with the phone not recognizing other Bluetooth devices, we can use the developer options to recognize all those devices without names or with visible MAC addresses.
Just press several times on MIUI Version in the My device section in Settings and then access the homonymous menu. Finally we will activate the option Show Bluetooth devices without names. All those devices with addresses similar to 91: 75: 1a: ec: 9a: c7, for example, will be displayed from now on.
The last option that we can resort to is based on reestablishing all device connections. In Settings we will go further and finally to Reset Wi-Fi, mobile network and Bluetooth. Finally we will go to the option to Recover settings.
Xiaomi Redmi 7 does not update to MIUI 11
According to Xiaomi's roadmap, all variants of the Redmi 7 should have received the latest version of MIUI 11 via OTA. If this is not your case, you can always force the update through the Dowm i app.
The application is limited to showing all versions of MIUI and their packages for later download. We will only have to indicate the phone model (Redmi 7) and the type of ROM (global and stable) to see all the available packages.
Once the update package has been completely downloaded we will go to My device and finally to System Update. In this section we will click on the three Options points and select the option Select update package.
Isn't the Select update package option displayed? Press seven times on the MIUI 10 lake. It will automatically appear in the context menu. Finally we will go to the downloaded_rom folder and select the package that we just downloaded.
The Xiaomi Redmi 7 does not turn on or does not turn on
It gets stuck in the logo, vibrates and turns off… Before confirming that it is a hardware problem we can carry out a series of actions to recover the phone. In this other article we have already seen all the types of bricks and the way to proceed depending on the problem.
The simplest solution, in any case, is based on turning on the phone by performing the following key combination:
- Volume up and power button at the same time
Next we will click on Wipe data to delete all the data from the phone and regain access to the system. After accepting the operation, any file (photos, documents, audios…), application or data will be permanently deleted from the device.
Redmi 7 does not recognize the SIM
Have you inserted the SIM and the mobile does not recognize it? In these cases, it is best to clean the SIM card tray and the card itself with a toothbrush moistened with isopropyl alcohol. It is also a good idea to check the compartment of the tray to make sure you insert the card in the correct way. Remember: the chip must always go down.
Have you checked that the card works correctly? Try entering it on another phone and making a call. If everything is correct, the last solution is to restore the system through the MIUI options in About the phone / Backup and reset / Erase all data.
