Android Pie has already been presented yesterday and its news occupies the majority of the covers of technological newspapers. And it is not for less, because the number of functions implemented in the ninth version of the green android operating system are higher in number than the functions integrated in previous versions. Some of the most important ones we could already see yesterday in the respective article linked above. However, there are others that have not been announced by Google but that also underlie among the hidden features of Android Pie, and today we bring you seven that you probably did not know.
Android Pie will store the volume of Bluetooth devices
One of the most interesting novelties of Android 9. Until now, every time we disconnected and connected a Bluetooth device, its volume was defined by the volume set in the system. With this new update, the volume of all the Bluetooth devices that we have synchronized with our mobile or tablet will be stored automatically.
We can connect up to 5 Bluetooth devices at the same time in Android P
Android P's next hidden feature comes hand in hand with Bluetooth again. As you can read in the title that heads this paragraph, the new Android update will allow us to connect up to five Bluetooth devices at the same time, whether they are speakers, smartbands or smartwatches. The only requirement will be to have a terminal with Bluetooth 5.0.
Android Pie will allow us to connect external cameras via USB
Support for external cameras finally comes to Android. And we are not referring to storage functions to transfer the photos from the SD memory to the phone, but to take photos with an external camera to the device, be it a DSLR or a compact. Although Google has not given many details about this feature yet, USB 3.1 devices are expected to be compatible with this feature.
The lock screen will be compatible with some widgets in Android 9
One of the most interesting novelties of Android 4.2 was the possibility of including widgets on the lock screen. Several versions later, this feature was completely removed. Now with Android Pie we can add them back to the aforementioned screen, although in a limited way and only for a few applications (calendar, time, events…).
Android 9.0 will let us create work desks
Another feature that Google has decided not to highlight above the rest. The new Android 9 work desks will allow us to create dedicated screens with applications intended to be used during the work day. Once it is finished, we can deactivate them through the quick settings in the notification bar, which will make us stop seeing both the applications and their notifications.
The battery health status will be displayed in the Android 9 P Settings
This feature of Android P is inherited directly from iOS version 11. Thanks to the latest Android update we can see the health of the battery of our mobile or tablet. This information will be based on the battery cycles of the device in question, and the same settings will notify us if it reaches a low percentage.
Android P Pie's Easter Egg is a drawing and note-taking app
Perhaps one of the most outrageous Android P hidden secrets since the system logout. Just a few minutes ago we were able to know what the Easter Egg of the aforementioned version will be like, which is accessed by clicking several times on System Version within the Android Settings. As you can see in the video, after holding down the P that appears at the beginning , we are shown a kind of application to take notes and draw; We will no longer have to install third-party applications to do so.
