It came to stay, although with the intention of evolving. The dual camera, considered a very prominent feature in high-end mobiles, is already present in a large number of mid-range phones. In fact, we can find it in models that do not exceed 300 euros. The double sensor idea caused a revolution in the telephony industry. They work independently, with the same or different resolution, to grant different uses or functions.
One of the most outstanding features of the dual sensor is the possibility of performing the bokeh or blur effect, which allows giving priority to one element of the image over the rest. But with the double camera we can also improve the captures when the light is scarce, or achieve a higher quality optical zoom by combining the images taken by both sensors. If your dream is to have a mobile with a dual sensor, but you don't have more than 300 euros to spend, don't stop reading. We reveal 7 models that do not rise from this price.
Lenovo Moto G6
The Lenovo Moto G6 has a 12 + 5 megapixel dual main camera, with dual dual-tone LED flash and phase detection autofocus. The front lens is 8 megapixels and it also offers flash. One of its main features is that the camera application has artificial intelligence to improve captures. In our tests we saw that the photographic section of the Moto G6 Plus is quite interesting. Get good definition in shots and bright, vivid colors. In addition, the terminal does not exceed 300 euros. It can currently be purchased on Amazon for 226 euros.
The Moto G6 also offers a 5.7-inch panel with HD resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels, as well as a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. For storage we have 32 GB (expandable by using microSD type cards). It also equips a 3,000 mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging and Dual SIM support.
Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra
At Fnac we have located the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra for less than 300 euros. This model comes with a double camera, but on the front. Specifically, it has a 16-megapixel sensor and f / 2.0 aperture, along with another 8-megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. It should be noted that the second sensor does not aim to achieve the popular bokeh effect, as we see in most devices. These are two sensors that work separately. In fact, in the camera application itself we can use a dedicated button to switch between the two.
The 16 megapixel sensor covers 88 degrees of angle, which is normal for a front camera. In addition, it has an optical image stabilizer. The 8 megapixel is a wide angle that covers up to 120 degrees. In other words, it is a sensor specially designed for group photos. There's no lack of an LED flash for taking selfies at night or in dark places. If we turn it around, the XA2 Ultra has a 23-megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and a maximum ISO of 12800.
The Xperia XA2 Ultra also comes with a 6-inch panel with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and equips a 3,580 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charge.
Huawei P20 Lite
The Huawei P20 Lite landed on the market with a 16-megapixel RGB sensor, which is supported by another 2-megapixel lens to achieve a blur effect. For its part, the front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels and also includes many of the features of the main lens, such as the bokeh effect or the recording of moving photos. This secondary sensor uses a flash on the panel itself. Although it lacks a physical one, it is true that the quality of the selfies is not bad, even when the light is not exactly a great accompaniment.
The terminal also has a 5.84-inch screen with FHD + resolution (2,244 x 1080 pixels) and an 18.7: 9 aspect ratio. In its guts there is room for a Kirin 659 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of space, as well as a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging. There is no lack of support for dual SIM and Android 8 Oreo system. If you are interested in this model, you can find it for 290 euros in stores like Worten.
Samsung Galaxy A8
One of the phones for the mid-range par excellence is the Samsung Galaxy A8. Its price has dropped a lot since the launch of its successor, and it is now possible to find it below 300 euros. Although it does not have a double camera on the back, it does have one on the front. Both offer a resolution of 16 and 8 megapixels with aperture f / 1.9,what gives us that light that we need so much in some conditions and moments. The main camera, as we say, consists of a single sensor. In this case, 16 megapixels with aperture f / 1.7. Although it is not the best camera on the market, we cannot deny that you can get a lot out of it and it rivals the competition very well, among other things because of its speed. Plus, photos in broad daylight are displayed in sharp, bright colors.
A level of performance, the Galaxy A8 has a 5.6 screen with FullHD resolution of 2,220 x 1,080 pixels. It also has a 2.1 Ghz octa-core Exynos 7885 processor, 4 GB of RAM memory or a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging.
Xiaomi Mi A2
If you like Xiaomi, the Mi A2 is a very complete mobile that you can buy at GearBest for only 175 euros. Its main claim is its 20 + 12 megapixel double main camera with f / 1.75 aperture and 1.25 µm pixels, so it is able to capture images with more light in less favorable conditions. Its front sensor for selfies is not bad either, since it offers a resolution of 20 megapixels.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 also stands out for its 5.99-inch panel (2,160 x 1,080 pixels), in addition to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, along with 4 or 6 GB of RAM, which will guarantee fluid performance for applications and processes..
Alcatel 3X
Simple, but complete. This is how the Alcatel 3X is perfectly described, a phone with a double main camera and a price below 300 euros. While the main sensor offers a resolution of 16 megapixels, with 1.12 μm pixels and f / 2.0 aperture, the second, wide-angle, has a resolution of 8 megapixels, 1.12 μm pixels and f / 2.2 aperture. The front camera, for its part, comes with 8 megapixels for selfies.
The Alcatel 3X can be yours for only 160 euros. Among other features we can mention a 5.7-inch IPS panel, HD + resolution (1,440 x 720 pixels), 18: 9 format, in addition to a MediaTek MT 6739 processor (four A5 cores at 1.28 GHz) along with 3 GB of RAM.
Wiko View 2 Pro
Finally, another option that we propose is the Wiko View 2 Pro. Its price is also below 300 euros and offers a double main camera. This has a resolution of 16 megapixels and aperture f / 1.75.
In its front there is room for a single camera for selfies, also 16 megapixels, although with an f / 2.0 aperture. The terminal also comes with a 6-inch IPS panel with HD + resolution (1528 x 720 pixels), as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor.
