The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra will be announced on August 5. Samsung has already announced the launch date, which will be done entirely online. However, they have not given details about the device. Fortunately, the leaks have already done their job and we have been able to see the terminal on a large number of occasions. Also some of its features, many of them inherited from the Galaxy S20. However, we expect to see many new features in these Note 20. These are the 7 things that we would like to see the next Samsung Galaxy Note debut.
An Ultra model for the first time in the Note range
Last year Samsung first introduced a 'Plus' version in the Galaxy Note family. This year could be different: the latest rumors assure that Samsung will not present a Galaxy Note 20+, but rather a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. In this way, it would be the first time that we see the Ultra nomenclature in the Note range. In addition, the Plus model could disappear and there are only three versions: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Lite (to be announced later), Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The difference between both models would be in the zoom.
An S Pen with more features
The S Pen is the main feature of the Galaxy Note. In this case, we expect some improvements over previous generations. For starters , the S Pen of the Galaxy Note 20 could be larger, resembling more of a pencil or pen. This is thanks to the increase in the size of the screen, since it will allow the height of the terminal to increase and therefore, the hole can be wider to attach the S Pen.
In terms of functions, we hope that the possibility of using the digital pen as a pointer will be added. A feature that has already been leaked. This option, as its name suggests, would be used to create a virtual pointer with the help of the S Pen. It can be useful when giving a presentation or teaching something. As the S Pen will allow gestures on the screen, we can do it even at a distance from the terminal. In the system settings, this option can be activated so that we can change the color or size of the pointer.
Of course, we also expect the more classic functions of the S Pen, such as the possibility of using the button as a hands-free or making gestures on the camera, but this is something that we already saw in previous generations.
Display at 120 Hz and with 2k resolution, at the same time
The Samsung Galaxy S20 have a 120 Hz screen, a very high refresh rate that allows a more fluid screen movement. Unfortunately, the 120 Hz on the Galaxy Note 20 is only activated when the screen has a Full HD + resolution, and not 2K, although it is compatible with the latter resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20, especially the Note 20 Ultra, will come with a 2K screen. Also with 120 Hz, and in this case compatible with this resolution. therefore, we no longer have to go down to Full HD to enjoy the highest refresh rate. Something interesting, since the panel of the Note 20 Ultra would exceed 6.5 inches.
Battery worthy of a Note
We do not know what the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be, but we hope that it is worthy of a device from the Note range. The Galaxy Note 20 have many functions that could harm the battery, so we expect to see a capacity of 5,000 mAh or more than 4,300 mAh, which is what the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ had. We also expect an improvement in fast charging and wireless charging.
New design
While Samsung will be inspired by the Galaxy S20 series, the Note 20 will feature a new design. This is something that has been previously leaked. Samsung's next flagship will have a long-range zoom, but with a redesigned camera module: much more minimalist and boxy. The back, which will remain in glass, will have new color finishes. In addition, the front will also improve with more used frames and a much more compact on-screen camera. In this way we will have much more screen to enjoy multimedia content.
New version of One UI
The Galaxy Note 20 will have a new version of One UI that would work under Android 10. We would not see great news, since the important improvements would arrive next year, with Android 11. However, we could see functions related to productivity, the S Pen and the big screen of the Galaxy Note. In addition to possible improvements in the optimization and security of the system.
Goodbye to the quad camera
It may seem strange, but everything indicates that it will. The Galaxy Note 20 will not have a quad camera compared to the S20 Ultra, but rather triple. The ToF sensor that was used to measure depth of field and augmented reality would be eliminated. All to include a sensor with up to 100x zoom without sacrificing design. After all, if the main camera and software are well optimized, the Note 20 may also be able to offer good photographic results in terms of portrait and augmented reality.
The main sensor is expected to be 108 megapixels, with a 20 megapixel wide angle and a 64 or 48 megapixel telephoto sensor with superzoom.
