If you have an outdated Android phone and want to go NOW to the new version of the platform, maybe you should think about a change. We mean, as you may have guessed, Android 7.0 Nougat. At the moment, there are still very few smartphones that work with this edition. Without going any further, the report that Google published this January revealed that less than 1% of the terminals with Android did so with the most recent version. Fortunately, in February and March the outlook will most likely change progressively. Samsung will update its new flagships and the rest of the manufacturers will do the same, but it is also that at the end of February theMobile World Congress 2017 and other equipment equipped with Android 7.0 Nougat will come out. Here are five smartphones that should be updated shortly. Would you like to take a look at them?
1. Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
In recent weeks we have closely followed the test program that the Korean firm has launched for a specific group of Samsung Galaxy S7. It was a beta in which some users from the United Kingdom have participated and it was going to function as a test of the final update. This test ended on December 30 and at this time, the data package has already started rolling in some markets. It is expected that it can land on Spanish teams within a very few days, both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
2. Sony Xperia Z5
The update started a few days ago but was suddenly stopped. Apparently, after being installed in the Sony Xperia Z5 of some users, errors began to occur in the sound, in the execution of certain applications and in the general performance of the battery. What Sony did was suspend the update and warn users that there was a problem. Last week, the Japanese published a note in which it reported that its engineers were making the corresponding repairs. Given the zeal in which Sony tends to work in this regard, the update process will most likely restart shortly.
3. Motorola Moto Z Play
The update to Android 7.0 Nougat has also been rolled out for the Motorola Moto Z Play in Europe. This logically includes devices found in Spain. However, you should keep in mind that the update is being carried out via FOTA (Firmware Over The Air), which means that you will not have to connect the phone to the computer with cables. But the data packet will arrive progressively, so if you haven't received the update yet, don't worry. It should be when it falls. What is clear, yes, is that the data package will arrive in the first instance for this model.
4. Huawei P9
It is the current flagship of the Chinese firm Huawei, so just for this fact, it is one of the great ones to be updated to Android 7.0 in the first instance. In fact, the data package has already begun to reach many users residing in Spain, so they should all be close to being permanently updated. We are talking, logically, of the Huawei P9, a high-end smartphone.
5. LG G5
And we end up with another high-end smartphone, the LG G5, which has also received the update to Android 7.0 Nougat in some markets. Although not everyone in Spain has had the opportunity to embrace it, everything indicates that in the coming days the updates that would correspond to the terminals associated with the main operators in the country can be carried out. On the other hand, it should be noted that LG has in its catalog the LG V20, the first smartphone to hit the market with Android 7.0 as standard.
And you, for which mobile are you waiting for the Google update?
