Good weather is approaching and the desire to take selfies is multiplying. If you are one of those who cannot stop activating the front camera, whether you are alone at home or with your friends, you deserve a mobile capable of getting the best self-portraits. Currently, there are models that do not exceed 300 euros and that have a very interesting secondary sensor. This is the case, for example, of the Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 or the Huawei Mate 20 Lite. Neither of the two exceeds that amount and they have a double camera for selfies. They are not the only ones, there is more. Next we reveal five mobile phones to take selfies in conditions for less than 300 euros.
1. Samsung Galaxy A8 2018
It was one of the most prominent phones of last year for the mid-range. The device can currently be purchased at Phone House for 300 euros, a price that is not bad considering the features it offers. Another option is to get it through Vodafone. The operator sells it in cash for only 240 euros and in installments with a rate paying 10 euros per month for 2 years. Vodafone currently has four rates to choose from. Mini M (calls with establishment and 2.5 GB for data) costs 11.25 euros per month. The Red S (unlimited calls and 6 GB) is priced at 19.18 euros per month. For the M and L Network (unlimited calls + 12 or 25 GB) you have to pay 25.78 and 32.40 euros each month.
At the feature level, the Samsung Galaxy A8's dual secondary camera is one of its main attributes. The first sensor has a resolution of 16 megapixels and the second, the one that will help us to take bokeh or blur photos, is 8 megapixels (both with f / 1.9 aperture). In our tests we found that selfies in dark places look pretty good, offering a pretty good color under the circumstances.
Among other features of the terminal we can cite a 5.6-inch Full HD screen, Exynos 7885 processor along with 4 GB RAM, or a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charge.
2. Huawei Mate 20 Lite
The Huawei Mate 20 Lite is another of the models with which you can take good selfies and not leave your pocket in the attempt. This model is available in Media Markt or Phone House at a price of 230 euros. In Yoigo you can also get it with an installment payment plus a fee for only 3 euros per month (+ final payment of 60 euros). For this you have to contract it with La Sinfín 30 GB (unlimited calls + 30 GB to navigate). At the end of the two-year stay, you will have only paid 131 euros if you want to keep the terminal, if not only 72 euros.
The Huawei Mate 20 Lite has a front dual sensor that is hidden in its notch or notch. This has a resolution of 24 and 2 megapixels with aperture f / 2.0. Although it does not have a flash, it has an on-screen flash system capable of illuminating faces. In this way, it is possible to take good selfies in low light. Other features of the Mate 20 Lite are a 6.3-inch HD + screen of 1,080 x 2340 pixels, Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor, 4 GB of RAM or a 3,750 mAh battery with fast charging.
3. Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra
MediaMarkt sells the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra at a price of 300 euros. This team includes four cameras in total, two on the back and another two for selfies on the front. Specifically, for this purpose we will have a 16 megapixel sensor and f / 2.0 aperture, followed by another 8 megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. It should be noted that this second sensor is not designed to achieve the famous bokeh effect, as we see in most mobiles. These are two sensors that work separately. In the camera application we will have a dedicated button to switch between one and the other.
The 16 megapixel sensor covers 88 degrees of angle and has an optical image stabilizer, something that is welcome in low light shots. The 8 megapixel is a wide angle that covers up to 120 degrees. That is, it is a dedicated sensor for taking group selfies. To all this we must add an LED flash for the night or dark places.
4. Lenovo S5 Pro
Although it is not possible to buy this mobile directly in Spain, you can go to stores like Gearbest to get it. It has very interesting features, such as a double front camera, at a price that does not exceed 200 euros. Specifically, the dual selfie camera of the Lenovo S5 Pro has a resolution of 20+ 8-megapixels with an f / 2.2 aperture. In addition, it has a face unlock, which never hurts to increase security. This terminal also boasts a nice notched design with almost no frames on either side of the panel. Specifically, this has a size of 6.26 inches and a Full HD + resolution.
The Lenovo S5 Pro also comes with a dual main camera (20 + 12 megapixels, f / 2.6 and f / 1.8), a Snapdragon 636 processor, 6 GB of RAM memory or a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging.
5. Alcatel 5
Finally, the Alcatel 5 is another affordable mobile with which you can get good selfies thanks to its double secondary camera. This has a resolution of 13 + a second 5 megapixel sensor, which will help us to take wide-angle photos, perfect for group selfies. The quality is quite good. We can say that the self-portraits that we can take are defined and with a good dynamic range. We must also highlight the beauty mode, which, unlike other mobiles, is quite simple to handle. It only allows us to change two parameters: the tone or the softening of the skin.
