5 Miui functions to edit videos from your xiaomi mobile

Are you one of those who record most of your life from your mobile? Or do you record the screens for video tutorials or your gaming sessions? If so, then you will have a good video editor that will make it easier for you to get the result you expect.

But if you don't want to get too complicated and you want a nice video to share in a few seconds, you can use the options offered by your mobile. And if you have a Xiaomi, you are in luck, because it has a combination of basic but useful functions to bring your videos to life.

At the moment, MIUI does not have a dedicated video editor but you can use the options it offers from Gallery. We show you some functions to consider.

Add effects to your videos

An easy way to add a creative touch to your video is by applying effects and background music. If you edit your video from the Gallery you will see that there are 7 effects available to apply in your edit.

Depending on the style you choose, you will have different color palettes, music and effects. If you don't want to waste so much time editing this can work as if it were a template, combining different elements with just one click.

You can try as many as you want before applying the final one. My favorites are Halo, which has a dramatic and dynamic style, which with the play of music and effects maintains the energy of the video.

Apply classic filters on your video

If you want to give an interesting touch to the video but without adding music, then choose to use the filters. There are 8 different options covering the most popular filters such as sepia, black and white, etc.

Once you choose a filter you can adjust some details to customize it. To do this, go to "Adjust", and move the sliders to change the focus, brightness, saturation, contrast or add vignette.

Choose melodies or your favorite song as a musical background

If your video is perfect and you don't want to modify anything you can give it a plus with good background music. Or if it is a video to dedicate, you can add a melody or song that is meaningful to the person.

You can also do this from the Gallery editor. You can add any of the 6 available melodies or select a song that you have on your device. To search for a particular melody, just choose "Select" and it will show you all the songs you have on your mobile so that you can choose the right one.

Other options to edit your videos.

As you can see, the options to edit videos from Xiaomi are quite basic but enough to give a bit of style to a home video, without having to install any application.

Another option that you can also take into account is the one that allows you to add a watermark if you want your video to have your stamp. It is not a function that allows you to do too much, but it can be useful. And it gives you the option to choose if you want the text to appear in the intro or at the end of the video.

And a bonus that you will find is the Cut tool, although it only allows you to cut the beginning or the end using the sliders. To use any of these tools you just have to open your video from the Gallery and select the scissors icon.

And of course, you can combine playing with the options to combine the filters and different elements to get a video with your style.
