5 Differences between the sony xperia 10 and 10 plus
Table of contents:
Lovers of large screens who are not willing to spend more than 450 euros on a mobile, have their chance with the Sony Xperia 10 and Sony Xperia 10 Plus. The two terminals boast a wide ultra-panoramic panel with a 21: 9 aspect ratio, which will not leave you indifferent to reading or watching multimedia content. Both devices move like a fish in water within the mid-range. They come with Qualcomm processors, 3 and 4 GB of RAM or a double camera with the company's seal.
Currently, the Sony Xperia 10 can be purchased for 350 euros, 430 euros in the case of the Plus model. This is a small price difference, marked by screen size and processor or battery. The big question is: is it really worth spending 80 euros more to have the Plus version instead of the standard one? We review five of its main differences that will make you clear.

1. Screen and dimensions
The main difference between the Sony Xperia 10 and 10 Plus is found in the screen size. The first has a 6-inch panel and the second goes up to 6.5 inches. This is a minor difference, but it can be important if you are a maniac in this section. Both use LCD technology, the same resolution (Full HD +) and a 21: 9 aspect ratio. This means that both screens are ultra-panoramic, a format widely used in film and television and that it is now possible to use these terminals to reproduce various content. It should be noted that to take advantage of this type of long panel, the company has included a function that allows it to be divided into two to open two apps at the same time.
At the design level, both the Sony Xperia 10 and 10 Plus are attractive and stylish. The company has rejected the brightness and glass typical of rival terminals, and instead has used a polycarbonate finish reinforced with Gorilla Glass 5. In this regard, the two are the same, with a design that follows the line of other Xperia models, although with smaller frames (especially the lower one). There is no notch or notch or perforation on the screen. Of course, the dimensions vary when choosing one model or another. The Xperia 10 is considerably lighter than its brother in the range (163 vs 180 grams), although it is practically as thick (8.4 vs 8.3 mm).
2. Power
We also find differences at the level of power and performance. The Sony Xperia 10 comes powered by a Snapdragon 630 accompanied by 3 GB of RAM. The Xperia 10 Plus, for its part, houses a Snapdragon 636 and 4 GB of RAM. These are two very common processors for the mid-range, and they will allow you to use simple apps, navigate and open several tools at the same time without many problems. Logically, the Xperia 10 Plus should be somewhat looser, although with regular use it should not be too noticeable.
3. Photographic section
The photographic section is very even in these two models, although there are also differences. Both include a double sensor. However, that of the Xperia 10 is 13 + 5 megapixels and that of the 10 Plus is 12 + 8 megapixels, so the blur mode is more capable in this model. This second sensor also offers an optical zoom magnification to achieve better quality on distant subjects. For now, we have not been able to verify the results of these cameras. During the presentation of these mobiles at MWC we had a first meeting in which we saw light shots, capable of achieving enough detail in dark places.
4. Battery
Another notable difference between these two sister models is the battery. The Sony Xperia 10 is 2,870 mAh and the Xperia 10 Plus 3,000 mAh (both with fast charging). Again, the difference is quite small, so it should not be decisive to choose one or the other.
5. Price
Finally, the price is the fifth difference that we want to highlight. The Sony Xperia 10 has landed at 350 euros, the Xperia 10 Plus costs 80 euros more, 430 euros. If you prefer the bigger screens the better, you want a bit more performance, you love bokeh photos, or you refuse to buy a phone with a battery below 3,000 mAh, then it is worth paying a little more for the Plus version. If what you are going to use the phone for is to browse, write WhatsApp, post on Instagram or watch the odd video with the Xperia 10 you will have more than enough.
