1. Size and screen
At first glance, the Xiaomi redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro are the same. Their design does not vary and they are shown with a leading front, hardly any frames, with a notch or notch in the shape of a drop of water to accommodate the camera for selfies. Its back looks bright without missing a physical fingerprint reader. Because no, neither the Redmi Note 8 nor the Redmi Note 8 Pro include it under their screen. Their glass construction makes them elegant, leaving room for the camera, located upright right in the center.
So far everything is the same. However, if we put them next to each other we will see how the Note 8 is somewhat thinner. The terminal has a weight of 191 grams compared to the 199 grams of the Note 8 Pro. In any case, it is slightly thicker, but by very little (8.9 vs 8.8 millimeters). On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 arrives with a somewhat smaller panel. This is 6.3-inch IPS LCD with Full HD + resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. That of the Redmi Note 8 Pro grows to 6.53 inches, also with Full HD + resolution.
2. Processor and memory
Another of the most marked differences between the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro is found in the processor and memory. The first one houses an 11 nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, accompanied by a 4 or 6 GB RAM memory. For its part, the Pro model comes powered by a 12 nm MediaTek Helio G90T, the company's first SoC for gamers, which provides improved performance when it comes to games, especially in current titles.
This processor comes hand in hand with 6 or 8 GB of RAM. For storage we have 64 or 128 GB in both cases (expandable by using microSD cards), so there would be no differences here.
3. Photographic section
Here is another of the notable differences between these two models. Although both include four main sensors, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is more virtuous in this section. It has a first 64 megapixel lens with a Samsung GW1 sensor, with which we can take photos with a maximum resolution of 9,248 x 6,936 pixels. That of the Note 8 is 48 megapixels. For the rest, the rest of the lenses remain intact: 8 megapixel wide angle, 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro sensor.
Also, for selfies the Note 8 Pro is better equipped with a 20 megapixel sensor. That of the Note 8 is 13 megapixels, slightly lower.
4. Battery
Finally, we must also highlight differences in terms of the battery. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 equips a 4,000 mAh, while the Note 8 Pro has a higher 4,500 mAh. However, both have an 18W fast charging system.
