Just a few hours ago, the presentation of the Xiaomi Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro, two terminals oriented to the mid and high range, took place. And is that despite the fact that the two have a practically traced design, the dissimilarities between one and the other go beyond the price of each of the versions. What differences are there between the Redmi K20 vs Redmi K20 Pro really? We see it below.
Less power for the Redmi K20
The main difference between the Redmi K20 Pro vs Redmi K20 has to do with the power of the set, and more specifically with the type of processor. While in the Pro model we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the Redmi K20 incorporates the Snapdragon 730.
For practical purposes, the difference in performance between one and the other does not suppose a very high percentage, beyond some games that require a high graphic load.
More memory for the Redmi K20 Pro
Other differences between the Redmi K20 vs Redmi K20 Pro have to do with the memory configuration of each of the model variants. Specifically, the Redmi K20 has two versions of 64 and 128 GB of internal storage and the same amount of RAM in both cases; 6 GB to be exact.
For its part, the Redmi K20 Pro has up to four different variants with 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 64, 128 and 256 GB of internal storage.
It should be noted that both have micro SD card expansion, although the company has not specified the exact amount.
Same battery but with different fast charge
The same 4,000 mAh capacity battery powers both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro. The difference between one and the other is found precisely in the fast charging system. And is that even though both are based on the standard Quick Charge 4.0, the K20 Pro supports loads up to 27 W.
In contrast, the base model opts for an 18 W load, much slower in practice than the 27 W of the Pro model.
Slight differences in camera
Taking a look at the characteristics of the cameras of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro, we might think that the differences are zero. Nothing is further from reality. The Redmi K20 bases its main camera on a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor and f / 1.75 focal aperture and two 8- and 13-megapixel cameras with depth and wide-angle lenses.
As for the Redmi K20 Pro, it bases its main camera on the well-known Sony IMX 586 and whose characteristics replicate those of the IMX582 sensor of the K20, although not for that reason the quality. The rest of the sensors are made up of the same characteristics as those of the K20, with the exception of the depth lens, which in this case is based on a telephoto lens to take 2x zoom pictures without any loss of any kind.
