Xiaomi's low-end range is no longer so low since the arrival of the Xiaomi Redmi 7. We can say that the terminal is ahead of its predecessor in many features, but especially in design. The company has considerably reduced the frames from one model to another, including in this Redmi 7 a notch in the form of a drop of water. To all this we must add a larger screen, a more powerful processor or a larger battery capacity.
The new Redmi 7 also comes with the Android 9 Pie system under the personalization layer of the MIUI 10 company. If you are interested in both phones and have doubts about which one to buy, keep reading. We reveal their 5 main differences.

1. Design and display
Low-end mobiles with tiny screens and two large frames on both sides, which do not allow you to see well when browsing or viewing a video, are gradually going down in history. It is something that we have seen in the generational evolution of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 to the Redmi 7. The company's new model has reduced its frames considerably, adding a notch in the form of a drop of water and a more premium look. For this, Xiaomi has used plastic and glass for its construction instead of just plastic. The rear has also undergone slight changes. The double photographic sensor has been placed in a vertical position. However, the fingerprint reader is still present a little lower.

The panel has also grown, and from the 5.45 inches of the Redmi 6 it has now gone to 6.26 inches with a ratio of 19: 9 instead of 18: 9. The resolution is still HD +.
2. Power and memory
As usually happens with the generation jump, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 is a little more powerful than its predecessor. The mobile is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor together with an Adreno 506 GPU. This chip is accompanied by 2, 3 and 4 GB of RAM, as well as 16, 32 and 64 GB. The Redmi 6 houses, for its part, a Helio P22 with eight cores at 2 GHz, 3 GB of RAM and 32 and 64 GB of internal space. The difference in performance is really very little. You will not notice it when using apps like WhatsApp, Instagram or browsing a page. We can say that neither of the two phones give much more than that.

3. Photographic section
There are no very big changes in this section. The main camera of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 is composed of two 12 + 5 megapixel sensors with a focal aperture of 2.2, LED flash, phase detection autofocus, panoramic modes and HDR. For selfies we have a 5 megapixel sensor and Full HD recording. As for the Redmi 7, it also includes a double camera, in its case 12 and 2 megapixels, with focal aperture f / 2.2 and pixels of 1.25 um. In the notch there is a sensor for selfies of 8 megapixels and focal aperture f / 2.2.

4. Battery
Perhaps the main difference between the Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 7 is in this section. The first landed last year with a 3,000 mAh battery, a slightly low capacity, although sufficient considering that it is an entry phone. However, Xiaomi has wanted to go over in its new model and has included a 4,000 mAh battery. In combination with the screen resolution or its low-power processor, we will have no problems in having autonomy for more than a full day.
