Xiaomi Redmi 7

Xiaomi has presented the Redmi Y3, a new mid-range mobile with very interesting specifications. If you follow the Redmi family catalog, you will have verified that the Redmi 7 is practically the same device, with the same technical specifications, processor, screen… But there are some differences between both models. Specifically, 5 that you can not miss.

Design

The physical appearance of both terminals is very similar. The difference is in the materials used at the rear. In the case of the Redmi 7, its back has a glass finish, while the Redmi Y3 is polycarbonate with an imitation of glass. Here there are also differences in the hand feeling, since the glass, although it is a magnet for the fingerprints, feels much more Premium.

The front stays the same. Both models feature a 'drop-type' notch that houses the selfie camera and a frame at the bottom. Also the same screen size of 6.26 inches and with an HD + resolution.

Connectivity

Another difference is found in the Bluetooth version. The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 has Bluetooth 4.2, while the Redmi 7 model has Bluetooth 5.0, the latest version available to date. This allows faster connections and even pairing with more than one device.

Selfie camera

Another difference is in the front camera. The Redmi Y3 is nothing more and nothing less than 24 megapixels. A lens of this resolution does not have to offer higher quality images, but it does have more sharpness and detail in the photograph. The front camera of the Redmi 7 is 8 megapixels. Both lenses include some settings, such as beauty mode and different filters through the camera app.

RAM and storage

The Xiaomi Y3 has different versions of storage. On the one hand, a basic 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The most powerful is 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi 7 also has this configuration, but we found a more basic one, with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which leads us to the following difference: the prices.

Price

First of all, only the Redmi 7 is sold in Spain. It does so at a price of 180 euros for the base version (3 GB + 32 GB in Spain), while the Redmi Y3 costs 130 euros to change for its most basic version. The difference between both models is 50 euros.
