Super bright notched infinity display
One of the most prominent sections of the LG G7 ThinQ is found on the screen. LG has not included OLED technology, but it has not been necessary. Its ability to reach a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, gives it good quality and sharpness when viewing any type of video or image. In fact, it is capable of reproducing HDR images very faithfully. As is usual in the latest models presented, the device has an infinite panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. It is 6.1 inches in size and has a Quad HD + resolution (3,120 x 1,440 pixels).
At the design level, the LG G7 ThinQ looks very elegant and stylish. It is only 7.99mm thick and weighs 162 grams. Its bezels are really slim and there is no lack of notch or notch detail on the upper front part. Unlike Samsung, LG has succumbed to the charms of this feature to make better use of panel space. Also, the company allows us to customize the area of the notch. For example, we can choose if we want more or less rounded edges, or select the color of the upper area of the screen. In turn, it should be noted a fingerprint reader on the back. It is not the only thing that will guarantee security, since it also has facial recognition.
2. High-end performance
The LG G7 ThinQ is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. This chip is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 64 GB (expandable through the use of microSD cards). As we could see in the comparison, the device behaves without problems when opening applications or executing several processes at the same time. He is quite fluid and works with ease.
3. Wide angle camera
LG has substantially improved the photographic section of the LG G7 when compared to that of its predecessor, the LG G6. The new terminal has a double camera at the rear. On the one hand, we have a standard 16-megapixel sensor and f / 1.6 aperture. This is an improvement over the f / 1.8 in last year's model. The second sensor is a wide angle, with 16 megapixels of resolution and f / 1.9 aperture. The second sensor of the LG G6 has an aperture f / 2.4, so the improvement in low light conditions is important.
However, its main advantage is its ability to offer up to 19 shooting modes. In addition, the camera has an artificial intelligence system with which we can capture photos up to four times brighter. There is also a feature called Live Photo to be mentioned. It is a feature that will allow us to record up to a second before having pressed the shutter. In this way, it is possible to capture moments that would otherwise have been lost.
On the front there is an 8 megapixel 80º wide angle sensor with an aperture f / 1.9. This has a Portrait mode and an AI Cam mode. The quality is not bad at all, as we could see in our thorough test.
4. Powerful Sound
The LG G7 ThinQ does not disappoint at all in the sound section. We can say that it is quite powerful with an acceptable quality thanks to the inclusion of the Boombox speaker. Even though we don't have a stereo sound, the music sounds pretty good. It is true that it is not comparable to placing an external speaker, but it is quite better than that of other rival phones. Likewise, if we connect headphones we can take advantage of the DAC Hi-Fi 32bits system and the DTS-X certification, which allow a cleaner and clearer sound.
All these capabilities are managed following the guidelines of Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest version of Google's mobile platform.
5. Battery with fast and wireless charging
Another of the key points of this LG G7 is the battery. Although it does not have a great amperage, it is 3,000 mAh, it has fast and wireless charging. This means that it is possible to charge it up to half in a few minutes. Also, in our tests, the test did not come out too slow. The device achieved a result very similar to the Honor 10, which has a 3,400-milliamp battery.
The LG G7 ThinQ can currently be purchased for 850 euros in authorized stores and establishments.
