- Calendar information, the menu to view all calendar events
EMUI is the customization layer that runs under the chassis of all Huawei phones. This layer, which runs on an Android base, has dozens of functions in addition to the native functions of the system created by Andy Rubin. Some of these options are hidden in the most remote places of the Huawei layer. Others require an activation process that usually does not take more than a few minutes. This time we have compiled some of these settings to activate on any Honor or Huawei phone.
Project Menu, Huawei's advanced hidden menu
This curious menu is typical of Huawei phones. Its function is to supply the authorized technicians of the company with relevant information on the device. From this menu we can perform actions such as doing a factory reset to format the mobile completely, change the type of USB connection (Google Mode, HiSuite Mode, Manufacture Modeā¦), update the system from a file stored on the micro SD card or check if the device is free in network terms.
To activate this menu we will have to enter the following code in the Calls application:
- * # * # 2846579 # * # *
A menu like the one we can see just above this paragraph will be activated automatically and from which we can perform some of the aforementioned actions. Since it is a menu intended for authorized technicians, it is recommended to be careful when activating some of the options present in the Project Menu.
Developer settings, the menu intended for developers
We go on to talk from one of the most interesting menus in EMUI to one of the most important menus in Android. The possibilities that this menu offers us range from changing the speed with which the system animations are executed to creating a fake GPS location to make jokes with our friends, going through keeping the screen fixed in an application, changing the resolution and DPI screen or even detect hidden Bluetooth devices. In short, dozens of possibilities.
Activating this menu is as simple as going to the System section within the Settings application. Once inside, we will go to the About the phone section. Finally, we will click a total of seven times on the Compilation number section.
The system will automatically warn us that we are already developers. To access the mentioned menu we will have to go back to System. The interface that will be shown below will be similar to this:
As with Project Menu, we will have to exercise some caution before playing with the different options of the settings.
Calendar information, the menu to view all calendar events
A hidden menu to see the events that we have saved in the calendar in one sitting? A hidden menu to see the events that we have saved in the calendar in one sitting. And it's not a joke. The menu in question can be activated through the following code in the Calls application :
- * # * # 225 # * # *
Now the system will show us a list with all the events stored in the calendar. Unlike the native application, the menu will show us the events differentiated by groups and typology. Holidays, birthdays, work meetings, vacations and so on.
