In the coming weeks some Twitter users will be able to edit tweets. Twitter users have been begging for this possibility for years, and as confirmed by Twitter in its official account, the tweet editing function is already here (but not for everyone)Below we will tell you everything about the function that will revolutionize the platform after the incorporation of the Circles.
As we mentioned at the beginning, Twitter has confirmed in its official account that it is testing the functionWhat's more, from what they suggest in the tweet (which you can see under this heading), there are already users who have this tool and edited tweets. So, if you come across an edited tweet icon, it's not because of a bug in your phone, it's because the edit tweets function is already here. There is no definite release date, but it will arrive in the coming weeks, as stated by Twitter on its blog.
But, How will editing tweets work? After posting a tweet, it will be possible to edit it for the next 30 minutes. An edit button will be incorporated into the tweet, which we must press to modify it. The edited tweets will appear with an icon that will distinguish that they have been edited. On the other hand, other users will be able to access the tweet history to see previous versions of it. Of course, not all users will be able to edit tweets.
Who can now edit their tweets on Twitter
Initially not all users will be able to edit their tweets. So who will be able to do it? Twitter Blue users will be the ones who can edit their tweets on Twitter when this feature is established. But what is Twitter Blue? Twitter Blue is a premium Twitter service accessible for a fee. It is only available in New Zealand, the US, Australia and Canada, so it has not yet reached Spain. Its price varies by region.
The benefits offered by Twitter Blue include, among other things, priority access to new features. Other advantages of Twitter Blue is that it allows you to change the theme and color of the app icon. Regarding its more functional advantages, it allows grouping tweets into bookmark folders and using the reader mode for a more comfortable viewing of the timeline. This improved version of Twitter has an official account on the platform where it reports its news.That said, we still don't know when we'll be able to say that the tweet editing feature is here for non-paying users.
