The announcement has come from the hand of Chad Grenier, game director of Apex Legends and the company's purpose is to once again revolutionize the Battle Royale genre with this mobile version: “Two years ago we changed the landscape of the Battle Royale genre and now we want to do it again on mobile.”

The betas will not reach all the countries of the world at the same time, but will be staggered. The two countries where this version will first arrive in tests will be India and the Philippines. Later they hope that throughout this year it will reach other regions around the world. Therefore, we will have to wait a bit to start playing on our mobile.

Apex Legends will be available for Android and iOS

In addition, the company has announced that these beta tests will be carried out for Android devices,but they confirm that the video game will also be ready shortly after to be compatible with iOS.

What is known about this release is that thel video game will be free as in its versions for PC and console, thus being faithful to the original.It will not include paid items either, but it will have its own elements such as battle passes, collectible and unlockable cosmetic add-ons, all of them different from those of the PC and console versions.

This version for mobile devices will not have cross-play so it can only be played from the phone thus becoming a fully independent from other devices.

The game is being optimized exclusively for mobile devices because its design is being perfected for touch screens with the most advanced controls.

Apex Legends was published for PC, Play Station 4 and Xbox One in February 2019, being a complete success since eight hours after its launch it already had a million players from all over the world. After several days it exceeded two million daily users.

In March 2021 the version for the Nintendo Switch arrived with the novelty of having cross play support, which allows PC, PS4, Xbox and Switch players to play with each other.
