Until now, to use WhatsApp from the web it was only required to go through the QR code from our mobile, and that's it. Dynamics now adds an extra step before scanning the QR code and pairing the two devices: use your face or fingerprints, depending on the biometric system you choose or have on your mobile.

For example, if you have an iPhone you can use FaceID to unlock your PC login, or if you have an Android phone with a fingerprint reader, then use that method. Once you carry out that step and your identification is verified, WhatsApp will let you continue with the next step, scan the QR code and finish linking your mobile with the PC.

And if your mobile does not have a biometric system, don't worry, you can continue with the same system you already know to log in in the web version of WhatsApp. At least for now, WhatsApp does not require that it be mandatory to go through facial or fingerprint unlocking.
