Organize servers in folder
Have you joined too many servers and never find your favorites? Don't worry, you are not the only one and there is a simple solution to organize all that chaos.
Discord allows you to organize servers into folders, so you can group it by theme, hobby, games, etc. How to create the folders? Very easy, just drag one server over another and a folder will be created. And of course, you can add all the servers you want with just drag and drop.
As shown in the image, you will see all the grouped servers inside the folder, and if you click on it, the folder will open and they will be displayed in the bar. Simple and practical.
And to make it easy for you to identify each folder, you can give it a name and a color. To make this option appear, use the right mouse button on the folder.
Mute annoying contacts
Surely you enjoy spending time with your friends on Discord or sharing with the contacts you make on the servers. But there are always those users who want to tell their entire life in the chat or who speak at the least opportune moment.
Without needing to block them, you can use a series of options so that they are not a source of distraction. For example, if you don't want to be disturbed by direct messages, you can apply a "silent period" to them. Yes, you can mute them for a certain amount of time To do this, right-click on the contact's name and choose “Mute”. You will see that it gives you several options ranging from 15 minutes, 1, 8 to 24 hours. And of course, if you want, you can mute it forever.
And in the case of voice chat, you can resort to the option "Lower the volume" following the same dynamics on the contact's profile.
Check out the servers without joining them
There are hundreds of servers dedicated to the same game, theme or hobby. How to find the server that meets your expectations? While you can join as many servers as you like, it can be a waste of time if you discover that it has nothing to do with the dynamic you're looking for in the community.
To save time and join only the servers that interest you, you can apply this little trick. This only works when you search for servers from the Discord browser and is very useful. As you see in the image, when you open a server from the search results you will find the option “I just want to take a look”.
This option allows you to enter the public servers without having to join, and take a look at the dynamics that the community proposes. You can see the different channels, read the conversations, check if there are rules, activity on the server, etc.
That is, all the information you need to decide whether to join that server or not.

This integration gives you two possibilities: show on your profile the song you are listening to or show on your status that you are listening to Spotify. You can enable each one independently. This dynamic works for all Spotify users, whether premium or free.
On the other hand, if you are a premium user you will have other possibilities, such as sharing your music with your friends on Discord.

Want to add a touch of fun to the servers you've created with your friends? Then create your own emoji to share with the community.

Hide channels you are not interested in
You may have already noticed that the servers can have many channels... welcome, rules, presentation, and the rest of the channels that the owner considers so that the community can interact in an orderly manner. But we are not always interested in knowing what is happening on each channel.
In such cases, you can choose to mute the channels you don't care about so you don't get overwhelmed with updates. But that's not all, you can also hide them to remove them from view and focus on those channels that are important.
You can perform this action both within the server and from the sidebar. Just right click with the mouse pointer and a menu will be displayed, as you see in the image.
Just choose “Hide muted channels” and you're done.
Invite your friends to manage your server
If you're thinking of creating a public server around a popular game or topic, you'll soon find yourself dealing with a huge community.
So that this is not a problem, invite your friends to be part of the administration of your server by assigning roles, even before that users join your community. You can create and assign these roles from Server Settings >> Roles, as you see in the image.
Or you can right click on your friend's profile (on your server) and in the drop-down menu look for the option “Roles”.
Share screen with your group of friends
One of the outstanding features of Discord is that it allows you to have many functions without the need to resort to third-party tools. And one of them is the possibility of sharing your screen with a group of up to 9 users.
Just enter one of the voice channels and search for “Start Screen Sharing” on the center screen. You will see that this option allows you to choose between two modalities: you can share everything that is seen on the screen of your device or share the screen of any open application.
A convenient option that you can use at any time without having to start a video conference.
