How the home delivery service for shipments in Wallapop works and how much it costs
Table of contents:
- Let SEUR pick up the package, the new option offered by Wallapop
- Select pickup date and track shipment
- What if the buyer is not satisfied?
The era of the pandemic has finished giving us the boost to the habit of buying online. More and more users are going digital to avoid physically going to stores. The same goes for buying and selling second-hand items, which we usually do through platforms like Wallapop
We still have the need to sell and buy things, but it's a little more difficult to meet people we don't know to exchange products.Hence Wallapop and SEUR have joined forces to offer a home collection service
In this way, when a person is interested in a product and wants to buy it, its owner can ask a SEUR operator to pick it up and complete the transactiondelivering it, always complying with the required hygiene and safety protocols.
Let SEUR pick up the package, the new option offered by Wallapop
If you want SEUR to pick up the package at your home and send it to the person who bought it, you can do it from within the Wallapop application itself. It is a paid service, which will be deducted from the amount of the product. There are 2.25 euros that will not entail any extra expense on the part of the buyerAnd it is that, as is usual in Wallapop, the shipping costs are always paid by the person who sells the item.
When the buyer receives the offer from the seller and accepts the transaction, before accepting the offer he must choose the option "Let SEUR pick up the package". From there:
- A shipping label will be generated, which the seller will need to download and print. This label, logically, has to be attached to the package.
- If you can't print, nothing happens. The indicated reference data must be written on a piece of paper, which will also be attached to the package.
- The seller will have to prepare the package (SEUR is not responsible for this). What does this mean? Well, you have to think about a suitable packaging, with which parts of the content are not lost or broken. It is best to have cardboard boxes that fit the weight of the product we send, as well as plastic or bubble wrap to prevent items from being damaged by bumps or falls during transport.
Select pickup date and track shipment
As if it were any other type of collection, SEUR provides users with the possibility of choosing a time slot in which the collection will take place. The courier will come more or less at that time to pick up the package From there, once inside the SEUR system, the seller will be able to track the shipment .
From the same application, you can make all the necessary changes, linked to the place, the delivery date and the time window. All this information will be received by the seller, who must know that the delivery will take place within a maximum period of two business days.
What if the buyer is not satisfied?
Once the buyer has received the item, will have a maximum of 48 hours to review it. If everything is correct, the transfer will be made to the seller for the indicated price. From this amount, as we indicated at the beginning, the cost of the collection and delivery service must be subtracted. They are 2.25 euros.
Wallapop users who want to use other formulas for shipping still have the classic ones at their disposal, including Correos. In this case, the rates may vary depending on the weight of the package, and can range from €2.95 to €13.95 for packages weighing between 20 and 30 kg.
