The connection between Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home has finally been activated. And with it, new possibilities for users are added, and some surprises.
Do you want to know what requirements are necessary for this connection and how the process is carried out? Will all Pokémon be available for this new process? We explain all the details below.
Requirements to send Pokémon between Go and Home
This new feature is currently only available to level 40 Trainers, but they promise to roll it out to more users in the future.
The good news is that you don't need to have a premium Pokémon Home plan, nor do you need a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. The only requirement is to have linked the Nintendo account in both apps.
That is, the Pokémon Go app must be linked to the same Nintendo account as the Pokémon Home app on your mobile. But don't worry, it's a simple process, as the Nintendo team explains.
Open the Pokémon Go app and follow these steps:
- Tap the Poké Ball button, then select Options
- Within Options choose Pokémon Home >> Start session.
This way, you can sign in to your Nintendo Account and link it with Pokémon Go.
How to send Pokémon between Pokémon Go and Home
To transfer Pokémon you will have to use the GO Porter, and follow these steps from the Pokémon Go app
- Select the Poké Ball button and go to Options >> Pokémon Go >> Send Pokémon
- In this step you will be able to access the Go Portkey and check how much energy it has available
- Choose the Pokémon you want to transfer, confirm the action and that's it
If you have followed all the steps, you managed to send your Pokémon to Pokémon Home, but the process is not over yet. For the transfer to be complete, you need to receive your Pokémon in the Pokémon Home app Until you do so, the transferred Pokémon will not be available.
To do this, open the Pokémon Home mobile app:
- You will see a message like “One or more Pokémon has been transferred from Pokémon GO. Do you want to receive them? So you just need to confirm the action
- Then, select the option “See transferred Pokémon” and if everything is fine then choose “Receive Pokémon”
- Wait until a message “Pokémon reception completed…” appears. to start organizing them
One detail to keep in mind is that each Pokémon will need a different amount of energy from the GO Portkey. On the other hand, remember that this new dynamic will not work with all Pokémon, since there are some special ones that do not support this transfer, for example, Spinda.
And one last detail, don't forget that Pokémon sent to Pokémon Home alter their way of being and cannot return to their original state, nor can they be sent back to Pokémon Go.
