Table of contents:
The Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ are now official. The Chinese company announced these devices at a launch event via streaming, but during the presentation they did not only show hardware. They also announced new features in Huawei Mobile Services, such as Petal Maps, the new maps application, or the alternative to Google and Microsoft documents. This is Huawei Docs and this is all it offers.
Although it is true that Microsoft Office is available for download in the AppGallery, with the arrival of Huawei Docs we will be able to enjoy better integration with the Huawei ecosystem, ya that we can synchronize documents through the cloud with our Huawei ID or even work on the same spreadsheet or presentation from other devices if we have our account synchronized.
Huawei Docs has four main applications: Docs, Slides, PDF and Sheets, and supports up to 50 different formats. Therefore, we will be able to open practically any file that is sent to us.
The application can be downloaded in more than 100 countries, in which Spain will be included. At the moment it is not possible to access Huawei Docs, but it is expected to be available in beta phase during the next few days. It can be downloaded via AppGallery, Huawei's app store.
Petal Maps and news in Petal Search
In addition to Docs, the Chinese company also announced Petal Maps, its mapping app that will work under the HMS and that will allow you to navigate in a very similar way to Google Maps. Finally, Petal Search, Huawei's app search and download app, will soon receive an update with new changes.Among them, the possibility of buying a product through a photograph or searching for a public figure with an image.
All these improvements will even reach Huawei phones that do have Google services. The new applications announced are a very good alternative to have everything synchronized from your Huawei devices.
