Table of contents:
Google wants its Calendar app to be the center of all user activities. It already allows you to create events, add reminders and plan goals. And now it integrates with Google Taks so you can create tasks from your mobile.
We show you how to use this new feature and how it integrates with the Google Calendar scheme.
How to create tasks in Google Calendar
If you have updated the Google Calendar app to its latest version, you will see that "Tasks" is added to the side menu that is displayed from "+", as you see in the image:
Once you choose “Tasks” you will have all the options to create it from the application. In addition to adding a title, you can add a note, set date and time, and even indicate if it is a recurring task.
One detail that you should not forget, if you have several Google accounts on your mobile, is to indicate which Calendar account the created task belongs to. A quick tip to prevent this from becoming a problem is to give tasks a different color on each calendar.
To do this, go to Settings and scroll to the different Calendar accounts. You will see that it allows you to change the color of each activity, so choose Tasks and assign the color you want. For example, you can use cob alt blue for the tasks in your work calendar, and tangerine for your personal calendar.
That way, you'll avoid a lot of confusion in the future.
How to see tasks created in Google Calendar
And of course, every task you create will be displayed on the calendar. Unless you've set a date and time, tasks will always be at the top of the day. And as you can see in the image, they will be easy to identify, since they have the Google Task logo.
When you have finished the task, you can swipe right to mark it complete. Or you can enter the description to delete, flag or view it from the Google Task app.
And if you also use the web version of Google Calendar, you'll see that it follows a similar dynamic. So you'll never lose sight of your tasks, and you'll be able to see how they integrate with the rest of the activities you've scheduled in Calendar.
Remember that you will find this new option in the latest version of Google Calendar.
