Table of contents:
Despite the fact that Instagram is focusing all its efforts on promoting the Reels of the platform, the social part of the application continues to receive new improvements and functions in order to improve the user experience. The last feature comes hand in hand with Instagram stories (Instagram Stories for those from Gibr altar). The company has just added a new function that allows us to search for stories by place and date within the archived stories In fact, the function is already being deployed for a large part of the globe, at least at the time of writing these lines.
Where to find the new Instagram icons
This is how you can search for stories by place and date in Instagram Stories
Instagram's new feature for the app's stories is integrated directly into the Archived Stories section, which we can access from the Profile tab. Immediately afterwards, we will click on the menu with the sandwich icon that can be seen in the upper right corner.
Within this menu click on Archive and then on Archive of stories Now the application will show us two new tabs. The first of these tabs contains a calendar with all the stories published over time, so we can filter searches based on the day of publication.
As for the second tab, Instagram will show us a map with all the stories divided according to location, just as You can see it in the screenshot above. In this case, the application will limit itself to displaying all the stories whose location has been specified from the Instagram Stories tags themselves. Stories that have been published with GPS tracking enabled will also be displayed.
To recover a specific story, all we have to do is click on the Share button to publish it again in the Instagram stories or to highlight it on the profile as a Featured Story. We can also save it as an image or video file or publish it as a conventional publication within Instagram.
