Why have the main tabs on my Instagram app changed?

Instagram is always testing functions and features for its app. A few weeks ago they announced Reels, an alternative to TikTok within the application itself and which in a way replaces IGTV. Reels is currently integrated into posts and the 'Explore' tab, however it could have a specific tab within the app itself, just like the store option. Are the main tabs of your Instagram have changed with these options? This is why.
The platform has confirmed that they are testing a new design for the app among some users. If you have seen that the tabs of your account have changed, it means that you are one of those chosen to check the reception of these new option The change is in the inclusion of two new tabs in the menu of the bottom. Currently Instagram has 5 options. On the one hand, the main tab where all the publications and stories appear. On the other, the search and explore tab. Related posts and videos similar to the ones we liked appear here. There is also the access tab to the camera or to upload publications.
The new design includes the Reels or IGTV tab and purchases with the aim of supporting creators and those users who upload your products to the platform.

The last two show notifications and our profile. With the new design of Instagram, two more are added and some other option would be eliminated. Specifically, the platform is testing 3 variants. In all of them they show two new tabs, 'Shop' and 'Reels'. In the first option, the search and notification button is removed, and moves to the upper area, along with the direct message button. In this way, at the bottom is the start button, Reels, Publications, Store and our profile.
The second option removes the button to upload posts and the notifications button. These are located in the upper area, leaving the lower part for the start, search, Reels, store and profile. Finally, the third variant does show the notification button at the bottom, as well as the search button.The only one that goes to the top area is the one to publish notifications. In this way, 6 options would be located in the lower bar instead of the 5 we currently have.
At the moment it is unknown if this function will be available for everyone or only for users in some countries, such as the United States. We will be attentive to more news.
