GIFs have become an essential part of instant messaging applications and social networks. There are many of us who use these moving images to express our emotions. So much so that applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram come with integrated GIFs, with a search engine that will help us find the one we need.
However, the number of GIFs that we have integrated into the application is quite limited. If you are one of those who use this type of images a lot, surely you have noticed that they are repeated a lot. That's why today we bring you a little trick so you can use thousands of GIFs in WhatsApp or any other messaging and social media application.
Find thousands of GIFs with Giphy
We confess, it's not a very complicated trick. It consists of using an application totally dedicated to animated GIFs such as Giphy. You have it available in the Google Play Store and in the App Store.
Giphy is a spectacular GIF database in which we can find practically any image we can think of. The application is really easy to use. When we open it, a main screen will appear in which we will find the GIFs that are trending at that moment.
We can also filter by different categories using the small menu at the top. But the best thing about Giphy is that it offers a powerful search engine that will find the right GIF just by typing a word that is related to what we want to express.
Once we have located the GIF that interests us, we have several ways to use it in WhatsApp or any other application. The first and most obvious is save the GIF on our mobile and then send it through WhatsApp.
To do so we will have to open the image and click on the three vertical points located below the image. Of the options that appear, the one that interests us is “Save GIF” If we have never saved a Giphy GIF, it will ask us for permission to use the device's storage. We give permission and it will be saved.
Another option that we have is send the GIF directly from the Giphy application itself To do so we will have to click on the icon that looks like a arrow, located at the bottom of the image, and select WhatsApp or the application that we want in the list that appears.
If we are using WhatsApp through the computer we can also use Giphy's GIFs. When accessing its website we will see an interface practically identical to the one we have on mobile devices. Once we have found the image we want to use, we can save it on the computer by clicking on it with the right mouse button From here we can also share the image and even take different types of links to put them on our website.
