How to make a Stitch on TikTok
The new feature works very similar to Duos. First of all, the the user must choose if he wants other people to be able to make a Stitch of his video. When recording a clip, a message will appear in the publish section. new option called 'Allow paste videos'. If we deactivate this option the user will not be able to select a fragment and react.
If we want to make a Stitch, you just have to look for a video that allows it. Then click on the 'Share' button. You should look for the option that says 'Paste'. Finally, select the fragment you want to paste into your video. The maximum is 5 seconds and you can shorten it up to 1 second. In addition, you can select any area of the video.
Next, tap Next and record your video. You'll see that in the timeline the first 5 seconds are taken up with the original clip. Now, at least we need to record up to 3 seconds of video. Finally, click on Next and on 'Publish'.
Now, the video will show first the 5 seconds of the fragment that you have copied and then what you have recorded. The description will say “Paste from” and the username of the original clip.
