However, we have continued to investigate and in one of the Android Auto support forums they have given us a solution that has worked perfectly for us. So in this article we want to tell you how to solve the problem that makes Android Auto read messages and addresses in English Don't worry because it is a solution really simple and that everyone can do.
Android Auto dictates streets and messages in English: solution
First of all, thanks to Maciej Berniak who discovered the solution and posted it on one of the Android Auto support forums. On the other hand, you should know that this is a temporary solution until Google fixes the problem with a new update of the Android Auto application.
We have two ways to solve this problem. The first is to go to Mobile Settings and enter the Applications option. Once we have the list of applications in front of us we must search for the Google application and uninstall all the updates that this application has made.
Another option is to enter the Google Play Store and press the three bars located in the upper left. Once here, choose the “My apps and games” option and select the “Installed” option at the top.
Here we will look for the Google application and click on it. Once inside the application options, click on Uninstall Actually the application will not be uninstalled, only the updates will be uninstalled, leaving the previous version, which is works correctly.
You must bear in mind that depending on the mobile you have, the way to get to these options could be slightly different, especially in the first case. However, all Android phones have very similar menus, so it shouldn't be difficult to find these options.
You should also know that this solution will only work until we update the Google app again. So, until Google fixes the Android Auto problem, better not update the Google app.
