There are few things as annoying as the chat bubbles that appear on our phone screen every time someone sends us a message message on Facebook. They sneak in there, as if by accident, and they don't even leave with water. Don't worry though, you know that these things always have a solution.

Disable notifications on Facebook Messenger
Notifications from Facebook Messenger can be turned off. You will see that it is very easy.
1. The first thing you should do is open Facebook Messenger. If you receive chat notifications it is because you have this application installed on your mobile. Next, click on your profile icon, located at the top left of the screen, next to Chats.
2. Within the Preferences section, select the Notifications and sounds option. You will see that here you can configure a lot of options. Remember that, in addition to receiving notifications about the chats that are sent to you, Facebook Messenger can also send other messages. Thus, you can activate and deactivate the following options at will:
- Notifications
- Preview notifications (show name and message)
- Lightning
- Notification sound
- Ringtone
- Vibration in case of free call
- Sounds in the application
You also have another option, which is to click on Manage notifications. Here you can set the urgency, sound and vibration. Within this section, you can disable notifications completely. And also:
- Alerts app icons
- Chats and calls
- Mentions in chats
- Stories
- Others
You also have the option to turn off other notifications that you find annoying, such as activity indicators, which are:
- Call in progress (with sound)
- Share active location (no sound)
- Active chat bubbles (no sound or visual interruptions)
All you have to do to stop receiving these types of notifications is to move the switch to the side, so that in Instead of being marked in blue, turn gray. Our recommendation is that you deactivate general notifications and, with this, you will stop receiving any annoyance on your mobile.
Exclusively disable chat bubbles
The Facebook Messenger chat bubbles are as characteristic of this application as they are annoying. They are placed on the screen and do not disappear, unless you are the one who moves the famous bubble to the trash can.It is a simple gesture, but for many people it is cumbersome. Others, little skilled in this technology, do not know how to make it disappear from the main screen of their phone.
There is an option with which you can turn off this bubble notification format. You have to do the following:
1. Go back to the Settings section, following the same steps that we have previously indicated. Do not enter the Notifications section, because the option we want to show you is out.
2. You will see that within the Preferences area there is an option that reads Chat Bubbles. To make them disappear once and for all, simply flip the switch. You will stop receiving chat bubble notifications.
Also, if you don't want to be disturbed so often, we suggest to disable the option to show you 'Active' when you are. Within the Profile section, you can choose to Show when you are active or decline this option to protect your privacy as much as possible.
