Do you want to make a backup copy of your mobile? There are several options to carry out this process, and now a new free proposal is added with Google One.
Using the Google storage service you can make a complete backup of your mobile device. This new option will be implemented in the coming days, but we give you a preview of how it works.
How to make a backup with Google One
Thanks to the latest update, you no longer need a paid subscription to take advantage of Google One features. You just need to download it to your Android mobile and follow a few Steps.
- Go to Storage section >> Device Backup
- And choose Create a backup now
- Google One will automatically create a copy with all the selected content of the mobile
Following this dynamic you can save device data, multimedia messages (photos, videos and audio files), photos and videos. And of course, you can configure some details before starting the automatic backup process, for example, what contents you want to add, or if you want to use mobile data for backup.
You can modify these settings as many times as you want to customize them according to your needs. In the app you'll be able to see how long it's been since you last backed up, and if there are any items left to update, so you'll never lose content you want to save.
How to manage your Google One storage
How much GB of space does Google One provide? If you choose the free version you will have the 15GB that Google provides when you create an account. But don't forget that that amount of GB is shared with all Google services, like Drive, Photos (if you have original quality photos set), and Gmail.
This can be a bit confusing for some users, so Google One includes a storage manager. An option that is available both in the Google One application and from its web version.
From this section you can manage your storage and control what unnecessary content is taking up space. For example:
- Spam or deleted emails that are still in the trash
- Emails with large attachments
- Large files in Google Drive or that are in Trash
- Videos that can't be played in Google Photos
Once you identify the files that are stealing your space, you can delete them from the Google One manager. It is a very simple dynamic that not only allows you to have a complete backup of your mobile, but also also manage your free storage.
Google promised that these new Google One features will be available in the coming days for Android users, so please download the app and wait for the update.
