5 tricks to find the best Android apps in the Google Play Store
Table of contents:
- Filter by rating
- Filter by selection of experts
- Filter by Premium applications
- Filter by Play Pass
- Use Google lists
A few months ago a piece of news was published commenting that Google was going to add filters to the results of the searches that we carried out in the Play Store. This new function has been implemented little by little in various markets and is already available in the Play Store in Spain To verify it, we only have to carry out a search in the Play Store and look at the options bar that appears under the search bar.
So, taking advantage of the fact that the function is already available, we wanted to compile 5 tricks that will help us find the best Android apps in the Google Play Store . For this we will use this new filtering function a lot. Let's start!
Filter by rating
One of the options provided by this new function is to filter the results by rating We have two options, filter by rating4.0 or higher; or show only apps that have a rating 4.5 or higher
This may not be 100% reliable, but usually when an app is rated highly it's because it works very well. We must also look at the number of opinions that the application has, since having 4 stars with 10 ratings is not the same as having 10.000 ratings.
Filter by selection of experts
If we don't trust the evaluation of the users, perhaps we do trust the evaluation of the supposed experts. That's why with this new function we can search for a keyword and tell the Play Store to only show us the applications that are included in the "Selection of our devices"
Filter by Premium applications
It is possible that what we want is to see only Premium or paid applications from the Play Store. It is a way of filtering or searching for a specific application that, although we do not remember the name, we know has a cost.
Searching by a keyword we can find all the payment applications that are related to that search.
Filter by Play Pass
Google Play Pass is a subscription service that allows you to download a long list of games and apps for a monthly fee. After its launch in the United States, just a few days ago it went live in Spain.
The new filtering feature includes a filter that allows us to show only apps that are included in Google Play Pass. A good way to locate the most interesting apps for which we are paying a monthly fee.
Use Google lists
As you know, Google has its own lists of recommended applications and games. Yes, we know what everyone does to find cool apps, but that doesn't mean we should look down on this option.
In the list of most downloaded or best-selling apps and games we can find a good handful of really interesting and quality options, so it never hurts to take a look.
