Instagram Stories have become a means to spend time with friends in this quarantine. Using some filters and putting a little ingenuity you can have a fun time improvising games and challenges.
If you don't know where to start, don't worry, we'll share some ideas for you to play and challenge your friends from Instagram Stories.
Don't blink… no, don't
Yana Mishkinis has created two versions of “Don´t blink”. The first challenges you not to blink for 6 seconds. As you can see in the first image, a counter will appear when detecting your face while you remain without blinking.
If this seems too simple then try the second option. The challenge is to last as long as possible without blinking repeating the same dynamics of the counter.
Of course, the idea is that you do the challenge in your Stories and challenge a friend just by mentioning it. You can improvise a little competition with your friends or extend it to your Instagram followers.
You will find these filters in Yana Mishkinis's profile, just go through all the available options within the filters until you find “Blink at 6.000” and “Don´t blink”
Be creative and create bingo templates
If you don't like interacting with the filters you can opt for those bingo-style cards that ask different questions to your friends.
If you don't know how to create them, you can be inspired by templates like the ones shared by @trencadis7, @luceslusia (you'll find a collection of their templates on Dropbox) or @lurqui who has a board on Pinterest with very fun templates for Stories.
Or you can take advantage of the templates that Canva offers and customize them using its editor, as you see in the third image.
Find a fun and popular topic to inspire you and go. It can be something as simple with the bingos you see in the first two images. Or it can be something more personal and fun, since it is a game for friends.
Once you share your bingo on your Stories, pass the challenge on to a friend to create their own version of it and so on
Questions and answers to find out how well your friends know you
You can use the Stories sticker for a quiz and Challenge your friends to show how much they know about you. I don't know make it easy and think of fun questions.
Instagram already gives you some options when you roll the dice, but the idea is to have fun so be original and create your own quiz. And don't forget to mention a friend so they can follow the game and repeat the same dynamic.
Or you can change the rules of the game. Instead of just being about you, the questions you create can involve all your friends and let their Instagram followers answer. A fun way to reveal secrets and bond with your fans.
Truth or Dare
This is a very entertaining filter to have a good time with your friends. You will find it on @lordeleal's profile under the name “Truth or Dare”.
Just add it to your camera or try it and you'll see how dynamic it is. The two little signs appear, you choose Truth or Dare and will tell you the action you must take or what question you must answer.
Then pass the challenge on to a friend by mentioning them in your Stories.
Quick challenges using templates
In Canva there are tons of templates you can use to create challenges with your friends. They don't have to be complicated, something quick that got a few laughs and allows you to have a good time.
To do this, you have to log in to Canva and in the search engine type “Instagram Stories” to show all the available template designs. From there, you can customize them to create your own games.
You can see some examples in the pictures.
- Challenge your friends to describe you with emojis The first is a template to complete with emojis based on the premise of describing different aspects of you You can write it in Spanish, add more situations or change the slogans, etc. And then challenge some of your friends to create their version of emojis about you.
- How your friends describe themselves with emojis. Break the ice of quarantine by mentioning all your friends so they can create their combinations of emojis to describe yourself.
- Are there secrets that your friends want to know about you? Give them the unique opportunity to ask you fun questions. Canva also has templates you can customize to improvise this type of game.
You see? It doesn't take much to brighten a friend's day, break the ice, and then spend the whole afternoon having fun with Instagram.
