How to change your profile picture on Spotify

If any of us were asked to name five random social networks, practically none of us would name Spotify among them. And no, it's not exactly a social network, but it does have functions that we can use to interact with other users, follow the music they listen to, subscribe to their playlists and thus discover new music. In our Spotify account we have a public profile section that is what others see, a letter of introduction to show the world what your musical tastes are.Do you want to know how to change the profile picture on your Spotify account? You may not even know that you have that possibility… and this is where we come in. It's a very simple tutorial, just pick up your phone and follow the steps one by one so you don't get lost.

The first thing to keep in mind is that you must have the Spotify application installed on your phone if you want to change your profile picture through the application itself. It doesn't matter if you don't have a premium account. If you don't have it, you won't be able to download music to listen to it offline, you won't even be able to listen to a whole album. Spotify free mobile account only allows shuffle mode. But it doesn't matter, you will still be able to have a public profile with the possibility of having a profile photo.

To download the Spotify application, enter this link from the Play Store. The size of the Spotify setup file will depend on the device you're installing it on, but we don't think it's so big that you need to be connected to WiFi, so feel free to download it whenever you want.

Then follow these steps.

• Once you have it downloaded and installed, log in with your account. On the main screen you will see, on the right at the top, an icon in the shape of a gear. Press and enter this section.
• At the top, you can see your Spotify username and below, in small, 'View profile'. To be able to place a photo, click on this section.
• Next, click on 'Edit profile', as shown in the following screenshot.
• And now we have 'Change Photo'. Click on this space.

• A new dialog box will appear in which we have three sections. The first, ‘choose photo‘. In this section you will choose a photograph that you have inside your phone and that will be your profile picture; the second, 'take photo' to take a photo at that moment and choose it as a profile photo. Finally, in the event that we are already using a photograph, we can remove it to place a new one.
• If we choose the first option, we must give permission to the application to enter the internal storage of our phone. When we have finally chosen the photo that we want to represent us, we can edit it, adjusting it to the circle that serves as the frame.

• To finish placing the image, we must click on 'Use photo'. The screen with the new profile picture will then appear. On this screen, you can also change your profile name as well. When we have finished, we must click on 'save'.
• Ready! Your profile page will now be crowned with the profile picture you have chosen. Remember that it doesn't have to be a photo of you, especially if you want to remain somewhat anonymous.
