It is true that the Stories interface is pure Instagram, but the fact of being able to move with your finger anywhere in the world, find someone in that place and be able to see what they have uploaded is something very attractive. It is true and fair to say that we can do the same thing on Instagram, if we look for the place in the search box, but it is much more comfortable to slide our finger, 'travel' through the map and arrive at the chosen place.
