How Instagram Stories Group Stories Work
Table of contents:
In January 2019, more than 500 million users used Instagram Stories daily. Those ephemeral videos, of a fixed duration, that instagrammers use to tell about their lives, and other movements, have ended up being a real gold mine for the social network, becoming a promotional source for companies and influencers. That is why Instagram does not cease in its efforts to constantly update its functions, to continue making them attractive and that their use does not decline among the population.
What are the new Instagram Group Stories?
In one of its latest updates, Instagram has launched Group Stories. And what are Group Stories? Well, imagine a group of people who share Stories on the same site, videos that only they can see and that maintain the same characteristics as the rest of the Stories we launch. A very efficient way to create a large group of friends with whom you can continue to strengthen ties and communicate in a different way than what we can do, for example, in similar groups of other applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram.
The way in which we are going to create a group of Instagram Stories is very simple. Follow step by step everything we have to tell you in order to make the most of this new functionality.
Creating a group of Stories on Instagram
The first thing we should do, if we haven't done it yet, is download Instagram to our mobile. To create Stories and upload photos to it, we must create an account using our email. It's very easy to create and it's free.
Do you already have the account created and the application installed? Well, let's open it. To create a Story we have to enter the lower icon of the house, which is where we will see the photos and Stories of the users we follow. Next, click on the camera icon that we have in the upper left part of the screen to access the Stories. We can also access them by sliding our finger over the screen from left to right, until we see a new screen appear.
In this new screen we can do several things, either a video, a photo, use the filters and masks, the different video options (Superzoom, Boomerang, hands-free)... To try, we suggest Just take a photo. Once you have made your Story, look at the bottom of the screen and locate the 'Group Story' icon Press it. In the next window you will see an explanatory text in which Instagram explains what a 'Group Story' is.
Choose friends to share stories with
Click where you can read 'create a new group' and the screen will appear where you must choose what people you want to belong to said group in which you can share your personal Instagram Stories. On this screen you can also assign a name to the group. The group must have at least two people, in addition to the creator of the same, to be able to carry it out. Once created, click on the blue verification check and the group will have been created correctly.
On the next screen we will be informed that we can add the Story we just made either to the created group or to a new group that we are going to create. We can go back if we do not want to add a new group and we have accidentally chosen that option. Click on our new group to add the Story and that's it, we will have created the first Story for our new collaborative group. Now, every time you make a Story, you will have to do the same: click on 'Group Story' and share in the group that interests you.
