My Opera Player wants to be the Netflix of opera

The Korean brand Samsung has just presented its latest application which for the moment can only be used on its range of televisions and which has been created in collaboration with the Teatro Real, Telefónica and Endesa. Its name is 'My Opera Player' and it replaces 'Palco Digital', another tool created in 2015 that allowed viewers with a Samsung Smart TV to access the main operas performed at the Teatro Real.

Samsung's new application 'My Opera Player' thus increases the supply of content related to art, including operas, concerts, children's and youth shows, and dance programmed both in the Teatro Real, as in other theaters such as Liceo de Barcelona, NCPA in Beijing, Teatro Colón and the RTVE archives.Likewise, the user will be able to enjoy the operas in 4K quality, as well as on-demand or live content. The application can be used in both English and Spanish, and can be downloaded on all Samsung brand Smart TVs around the world.
In 2020, the 'My Opera Player' application is expected to include, in addition to the theaters already mentioned, another 10 new ones that will swell the programming and satisfy many more users. The application is cross-platform, that is, it can be viewed not only on Samsung Smart TVs but also on phones and tablets with Android and iOS operating systems. In addition, the content can be viewed with sub titles in Spanish, so that the operas can be followed and understood more optimally.
As time passes, the catalog of shows included in 'My Opera Player' will increase, with a wide range of 4K productions and with the appearance, in 8K, of the first Opera from the catalog at full resolution.As of December 2020 live broadcasts will begin, bringing streaming to the world of classical music and theater shows. In addition to the free offer, the user may purchase single tickets for certain shows and for the announced live broadcasts.
The four million Samsung Smart TV users in our country can now download the 'My Opera Player' application for free on their television and thus enjoy the opera at the Teatro Real Junior ' My Mother the Goose' or works like 'Street Scene' in 4K quality.
