As we do not have official information from Facebook, the owner of Instagram, or from Instagram itself, everything makes us think that the error resides in its servers. And all this in case of a failure. It is common for social networks and applications whose service is based on servers to suffer some type of similar drop. Either because servers fail or, more often in the case of Facebook-related services, because new changes are introduced. Something that sometimes causes the service to be affected. At the moment we only venture to think that it could be the latter, and not a failure per se.
In fact, news are already known that are about to reach most Instagram users, such as dark mode. An update that does not depend solely on the application, but on the servers of this social network, so it could be one of the causes of this temporary drop.Again, though, this is just speculation.
