How to know what you eat thanks to this application
Table of contents:
We are more and more aware of what we eat and we are concerned about having the he althiest possible diet. In other words, every time we try to eat less ultra-processed food and eat more fruits, vegetables and legumes in our day to day. What is the main stumbling block that we find when trying to eat a diet that is he althy and beneficial for our body? Basically two important points: time (rather the lack of it) and the ignorance of what we are eating. Many think that eating he althy means eating a prepared salad accompanied by a brick orange juice and we do not take into account the amount of s alt or sugar, respectively, that these products may have.

Well, she exists and her name is Yuka. Best of all, it's completely free, it has a large number of positive opinions, it doesn't weigh too much (only 24 MB) and it has a most attractive and simple design so you don't get lost when it comes to making a beneficial diet for he alth.
To enjoy the Yuka application we must connect with our email account. Once we have our account enabled we will have access to the home screen, where we will have in a vertical list all the products that we are scanning, in case we want to review them later. But let's go with the most important thing: let's scan our first product. To do this, we are going to press the square icon in the lower right part. We allow the application to take photos and we will have the scanner open. We take the product and read the barcode with our mobile. If the product appears dark, do not hesitate to activate the flashlight in the icon that appears in the upper left part.
How to know if a food is he althy or not?
Once the product is detected we will see its name and, below, the score it has received according to how he althy it is. In this case, you have decided that the jar of pickled gherkins has a score of 52 out of 100, which corresponds to a pass. We go up the tab and discover additional information about the product that we have scanned.
We have several categories on this screen that will keep us informed of everything related to the scanned product. For example, it will tell us if the product is organic, how much fruit and vegetables it contains, its proteins, the energy value (calories), its fat ratio saturated and the amount of sugar. After all this information we find the negative points of the product. In this case, for example, we have the presence of additives that we must avoid (with a complete list of them) and excessive s alt content, so this product will not be highly recommended for people with high blood pressure or heart problems in general.
The application has several content tabs. Next to the main screen we have one in which they will offer us he althy alternatives to products that we have scanned and that are not so he althy. On the last screen we will have a summary graph where we can see what type of food we have scanned.
