Finding a quality, free email application that works for most of the platforms we use is not easy at all. Twobird could be one of them, born from the company Ginger Labs (creators of Notability). Twobird is a free email client that is available for Android, iPhone, Windows and OS XThe reason Twobird stands out is its ability as a multi-tool, as it also allows you to write notes, set reminders and assign tasks.
The application is still in beta phase, which ensures that in the future you will enjoy more features and new features. In fact, the Android app is still in the early access phase, but it can already be downloaded and is fully functional. At this moment it is completely free although Ginger Labs has commented that their idea is to monetize this client with the addition of paid features but at the moment everything is free
How is Twobird?
Twobird has taken the baton from minimalism and thanks to this we find ourselves with a clean client where it is easy for us to see emails, accounts, reminders and different folders in which we can organize everything It also has the classic dark mode although at the moment it has a major problem, it is only compatible with Gmail or G-Suite accounts, which could be a problem to use other mail clients. We can always synchronize all our emails with the Gmail account, but in many cases it will not be the ideal or the most appropriate option.
The email client is so clean and simple that it hides things as basic as signatures This has a great advantage, and that is that When viewing chain messages, it will be much easier to see the content that matters and not the classic kilometric signatures that some corporate employees send due to company policies.
One of the most outstanding parts of Twobird is its note management, as it inherits many of the functions of the classic Notability. It allows us to create lists or reminders in a very simple way and even add tables, columns and all kinds of structures that we can imagine. You can even share these notes with people who do not use the platform and that is a great point in its favor. And in the case of share a note with a person using Twobird you can edit it with us in real time. They can be easily sent with a simple click.
Twobird syncs between all the platforms we use it on
Thanks to the fact that it is a multiplatform application, this email client is synchronized between all the places that we use it to avoid having to reread emails or dismiss notifications that we have already seen. In the inbox we have the "Low priority" section where all those emails that are generated automatically appear and that helps us distinguish which email is important to us. Twobird classifies those emails generated automatically by companies like Amazon, Just Eat, etc.
Twobird wants conversations to be light and natural, with a format that is much closer to that of a chat client That's why for which there are also the mentions that we see in the messaging apps and the entire environment has been cleaned to enjoy it to the fullest. It even allows the use of emojis. Another of the additions that we will use a lot are the reminders to send emails later (we hope that in the future they will be allowed to schedule them) and also the thumbtacks to delimit the most important ones in the purest Slack style. Are you going to try it?
If you want to do it, go to Twobird or download the app for Android or iPhone.
