Spotify will let you record your own podcasts
On Spotify you can not only listen to millions of songs from your favorite artists: you can also follow the podcasts you love the most. For some time now, the streaming platform has integrated the podcast as an audio source in a natural way, just as it does with artists' records, adding a column of podcasts in the 'Your library' section. Now he even wants you to be able to make your own shows from the Spotify app. Leak expert Jake Wong has located a new button in the Spotify app, located in the podcasts column, which reads 'Create podcast' (create a podcast). If the user presses this button, they will be sent to a page to download the 'Anchor' application. If you already have it installed, pressing the button will open the application automatically.
What is 'Anchor'? ‘Anchor’ is a free application that wants to democratize the creation of podcasts around the world. With 'Anchor' the user has at their disposal a place where they can record their podcasts, edit them, add third-party audio and even integrate music clips from songs directly taken from Spotify.

We have already downloaded 'Anchor' and we have been analyzing it to bring you a little more in depth what you can find in it. The application, as we said, is completely free and without ads, so the experience is good.Of course, 'Anchor' is a somewhat heavy application, because occupies 66 MB If you have little Internet data, wait until you connect to a WiFi network before downloading it .
Once you have it installed you must connect through your Google or Facebook account. This step is essential to be able to create your podcasts. The application is made up of three main parts: 'Discover', 'Tools' and 'Your Podcast' In the first option we can discover podcasts from 'Anchor' users , that is, they have recorded their programs with the application. It is a good sample of how the programs have been and how yours could be. The downside is that practically all of them are in English.
In the 'Tools' section is where you will be able to create your own podcasts.Simply click on 'start' and a new screen will appear with the necessary controls: the red button is the one to record the audio, with the 'Messages of voice' you will be able to add audios from friends who want to participate in the podcast in a timely manner (this does not work if you have a friend who participates with you in the recording of the podcast), a 'library' folder through which you can import audios for later edit them and a section for 'interludes' with music clips that you can select and include to divide the sections or themes of your podcast.
If you want to record a podcast with someone you're not with, you can use another app like Skype, and then this audio, import and edit it with AnchorWhen you have the complete audio, you will be able to add music and interludes: when you stop recording, a function appears to place a background track. The application ensures that we can record with 'friends anywhere in the world' but when we access this function, a message appears stating that they are having problems connecting, that we check the connection (checked and functional) and that we try again .
