3 new features of the new Spotify family plan

No less than five years has passed the Family Plan that Spotify created to encourage all those people who live under the same roof to have a Spotify account at a reduced price. The Family Plan of the music streaming platform allows families or inhabitants of the same home (up to six people) to enjoy its entire catalog, without download restrictions and with the same functions as a normal account, for 15 euros per month . Each person would be paying 2.5 euros per month, having a saving of 7.5 euros in relation to the 10 euros of the normal fee.

To celebrate five years of existence, Spotify is adding more options 'so that your experience listening to music on demand is personalized and ad-free'. These are the main novelties that the Spotify Family Plan will have from now on.

• Parental control. This feature, according to Spotify's own words, had been highly demanded by plan users. Parents, from now on, will be able to control whether their children can have access to songs marked with 'Explicit Content'. The artist can mark a song as 'explicit' to warn listeners.
• 'Family Mix'. Family Plan members will have access to an exclusive playlist, made from all the songs they they listen. The playlist will be updated regularly, and it will be possible to control which member of each family participates in said list.In this way, it is intended to promote the joint use of the plan as a family, whether on a car trip on vacation, having dinner or lunch together, or during a family party on the weekend.
• 'Family Hub'. Family Plan holders will have a single place at their disposal where they can add or remove members of said plan, update the address of the associated residence and adjust the parental control of the account.
• Six accounts. The Family Plan will continue to have six accounts at a time, as long as its users live under the same roof for a global price of 15 euros.

Spotify members, both those of the Family Plan and those with a Premium single, can enjoy a catalog of more than fifty million songs .
