This morning we were talking about the incorporation of a new feature to Twitter, with which this social network intends to block offensive messages .
Okay, now we have to pay attention to Instagram. Because the filter platform, which is owned by Facebook, has just introduced the possibility of reporting content that users consider to be false,so that In this way Instagram can put the magnifying glass and eliminate them, if they are really false.
And, how will they do it? Well, from now on Instagram will enable a kind of indicators that will classify the publications in terms of their quality. In this way, and over time, they hope that through artificial intelligence, the system will be perfectly capable of detecting what content is false
There will be other signs, however, that will help detect this type of post. They will be, for example, the comments, the age of the publication or the behavior of the account that owns the content in question. These will be variables that will help users to decide if there is a publication that should be removed from circulation
How can I report fake posts?
It is very simple. If from now on you want to report false content on Instagram, you will have to follow these steps:
1. Access Instagram and go to the publication in question. The normal thing is that you find it by chance, so you must be very clear about what the steps should be.
2. Within the publication, go to the three dots in the top right of the image to see the options you have.
3. You should then select the following: 'It's inappropriate'. The next option you must mark is 'False information'.
What will happen from now on with the fake post?
Well, very simple. For now, Instagram has no intention of rooting out those posts that have been flagged as fake by other users.
What Instagram will do will make the publication disappear or minimize the appearance on the pages corresponding to the hashtags used by the author from image. Also on the Explore tab.
The creators of the post will not be notified of the fact that their content has been reported and is under review. Nor will they know if those in charge of verifying whether the publication is false or have not decided positively or against it.
The contents under review: this has only just begun
Once a post has been reported, the same team that is now dedicated to reviewing posts on Facebook, also will be in charge of taking a look at the content marked as fake on Instagram.
Mark Zuckerberg's platform has subcontracted companies dedicated to controlling the content that is published However, some have already declared that Facebook still has a lot of work to do to learn how to detect, classify and eliminate content that violates its own rules.
It is possible that the fact that Instagram incorporates this new option to mark false content doesn't change things much. However, we are facing a positive step when it comes to limiting publications that do not contribute anything at all or that can even help spread fraudulent information.
If you're looking for the option to report false content on Facebook and haven't found it yet, don't worry. Soon it should be available to all users and lwill arrive in the form of an application update soon.
