Google Play Pass: subscription to paid apps from the Play Store for 4
Table of contents:
Earlier this year Apple announced the Apple Arcade platform, a monthly subscription that allowed you to play many of the titles included in the App Store, the vast majority exclusive to iOS. Apple Arcade, however, is not yet available and it seems that Google has rushed with a similar service, called Google Play Pass. This would be a subscription similar to that of Apple, creating the possibility of enjoying many paid Google Play content for a fixed monthly price.
We've already heard several months ago that Google was working on something like this, even though the company didn't seem to get off the ground. Today, thanks to Android Police, we have already been able to see screenshots of the service and get many details of how this Play Pass subscription will work.
Play Pass, for €4.99 a month with lots of benefits
You have to keep in mind that the price is not official, as it has not yet been launched on the market. However, while it could change between now and launch, we don't think it will. Play Pass will cost $4.99 in the US and will translate to €4.99 in Europe (usually). Service subscribers will have access to an extensive catalog that will include games of all kinds, music and even paid applications.
With this price every month, you'll get free access to hundreds of premium apps, ad-free games, and loads of downloads with no subscription required make payments within mobile applications. It will also be possible to listen to music, all at a very interesting price. It will even be available to share in a family plan as far as we can see in the screenshots and it will not be linked to any type of permanence.
In the screen that has been filtered we see how payment games such as Marvel Pinball (€1.09) and Stardew Valley (€8.99) have been included. We believe that these games will be updated every month with new deliveries although, it would be logical, that all those that we downloaded would remain in our account forever (at least as long as we keep monthly subscription).
Google Play wants to increase profits
We know that Google is concerned about revenue through the Play Store. This new monthly pass will allow us to enjoy paid applications and premium games for an amount that seems quite affordable to us and it is possible that it will encourage some users to pay to do so . You will do it?
