Several days ago Pokémon Go showed in the game code that the dark Pokémon and Team Rocket were about to arrive in the game. Now, through an official statement, Niantic has confirmed that the dark poképaradas are a reality, in which trainers will be able to face Team Rocket when it appears in this type of special pokéstops.
How these PokéStops work has been leaked, although we don't yet know all the details.Team Rocket will appear at these PokéStops, similar to Gym Leaders and other characters in the game. If you win, unlike the other leaders, Team Rocket will run away, leaving behind any Shadow Pokémon they are carrying.
Team Rocket will take on you and drop Shadow Pokémon along the way
These Shadow Pokémon will function differently from normal Pokémon. The mechanics of these new Pokémon seem to be taken from two very important games: Pokémon Colosseum and also from Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, a title that was available for the GameCube a long time ago. In these titles, the dark Pokémon were delivered through trainers who belonged to a suspicious organization. In both games, purifying these Pokémon was very simple, you just had to fight them or use a special pokéball.
In the case of Pokémon Go, the operation will be very similar. You'll meet Team Rocket at the Dark PokéStops and you'll have to fight them just like you do other trainers. If you win (only in this case) Team Rocket will run away leaving Shadow-type Pokémon on the way. That's when you can use a Premier Ball to catch them just like in raids
Trainers, we have an incoming message from Professor Willow: “I've noticed an alarming number of reports from Trainers who have found PokéStops that look…discolored?” Trainers, please report any PokéStops that look different with PokemonGO. pic.twitter.com/oxpXR7ZlSm

These dark-type Pokémon (we still don't know exactly how they will be called in-game) will need to be purified using their respective candies and also stardust. The button to purify these Pokémon will be located just above the button to level up.
Dark-type Pokémon display an aura above them. Its CP points are usually reduced when the Pokémon is uncleaned. After purifying them, they are able to learn the Return attack and that makes them very strong. Users who have tried them say that this type of Pokémon requires fewer candies to evolve and less stardust to level up. Stay alert because they will soon be able to be tested…
