Twitter today launched a new feature on the service that marks a radical change in the way the bluebird does things. Now Twitter allows you to hide replies. And yes, indeed this option is designed to be able to hide conversations and answers, in search of a more peaceful and less offensive community
One of the big problems with Twitter is that it's so easy for multiple people, who aren't contributing to a thread, to muddy up the contentof it and make it untraceable. In this way, the user who created the thread could hide answers so that only those that are most important or appropriate remain present.
Hiding content is not the same as deleting it
You asked for more control over your conversations, so starting next week we're testing a new feature in Canada that will let you hide replies to your Tweets.

Twitter has long allowed people to mute or block people, but that doesn't limit the number of responses from them. This way, hiding their answers, they will succeed. The hide function, however, is not equivalent to the delete tweets function. Replies will not be deleted, they will simply not be seen by the majority of users who enter the thread.
Twitter seeks, with this feature, to create conversations that are easier to follow and much more civilized. If it works, it will soon be extended to other users. At the moment this function is being tested in some countries such as Canada Despite this, all countries in the world will be able to see hidden answers and Twitter will report it with a small message in the form of a Pop Up.
If someone wants to see all those responses that a user has hidden, they can do so by clicking on the corresponding button.
How do I hide a tweet?
Performing this action is very simple:
- Click on the down arrow icon of the reply or tweet you want to hide.
- Click to hide reply.
Twitter says that social platforms should release features like this so that people can talk, without too much trouble and in a very civil way.The nice thing about this feature is that anyone will be able to see those hidden tweets by clicking on the new button that is now shown on Twitter (just to the right of the tweet in the bottom corner). You will be able to see all those hidden tweets or replies
