WhatsApp is testing a function that will allow users to share their status messages with Facebook and other services such as Instagram, Gmail or Google Photos. This is a piece of news that has been circulating for some time in the form of a rumor, and it finally seems to be taking shape. In this way, all those videos or photos that we share with our contacts daily through WhatsApp states will be seen simultaneously on other platforms to avoid repeating the operation on all of them.
Last April, a function was seen in the code of the alpha versions of WhatsApp to share its statuses on those of Facebook. It was then that the alarm sounded. Would it be officially implemented in the app? Months later it has landed in the new WhatsApp beta, that you can download to keep an eye on it through the app's testing program, both for iOS and Android . This means that it is a matter of days or weeks until the next version of the service arrives.
Apparently, the operation will be different from what we have already seen with Instagram and Facebook. Everything indicates that the states will not be able to be shared automatically, but that we will have a share button that will allow us to directly access the Facebook stories to leave our new WhatsApp publication there. As you can see in the leaked screenshots, there will be a “Share to Facebook Story” button under our statuses,in the Statuses tab in WhatsApp. This button will allow us to share the images of our states with Facebook in a simple and fast way.
Although the screenshot shows that the Facebook session will be recognized by WhatsApp, the company maintains that there will be no link between the two accounts. Therefore, it will be necessary to have the Facebook app installed on our mobile and with the session started so that we can access from WhatsApp without repeating the login. And this link It will not only be possible with Facebook, but also with Instagram, and apparently with Gmail and Google Photos.
