How many times have you coded the train or a bus and it is full? Google Maps wants to avoid this in its new update. Now, the app can tell you if there are a lot of people on the public transport you are going to take and if it is better to wait for the next one. We know more about this new feature.
Google Maps traffic predictions are coming to both the Android and iOS apps. The function is very simple.We just have to enter our route in Google Maps and the app will show us if the train, bus, tram or other type of public transport is crowded, there are a normal influx or is practically empty. The goal is that you do not have to take a train or bus that is full of people.
It is very similar to what it already does in some establishments, where we can see live if the place is very crowded or not. However, it doesn't show you the information until you plot the route.
More than 200 cities around the world, Spain included
This new feature is coming to more than 200 cities worldwide today. Among them, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Granada, Malaga, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, Sant Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The flow function in Google Maps is added to the one that allows us to see the different bus stops so we don't skip ours , the possibility of programming when we are going to leave or when we want to arrive at the destination and the option that allows us to see which route is the fastest.
We don't know if this new feature comes through a Software update or through a server activation. In my case, I've tried this feature and it still doesn't show up on my mobile. So it may take a few days to reach all devices.
